Historical must be my favorite. I'm drawn to it, I think, because it is more of an escape from the ordinary and sparks my imagination, but it is still realistic. Even the books I read in the other categories tend to be historical. I rarely read romance. Most of it just doesn't appeal to me (especially the graphic stuff). However, (I don't often admit it, and this may, in part, be due to my being sentimental.) I can really enjoy a good clean pioneer romance like Janette Oke or an early 20th century like Grace Livingston Hill- the kinds of books my mother had on her own bookshelf.
