@ Gordon. i would have to consider Michael Beasley as being a star dude. Beasleys upped his game this year. 21ppg and shooting good from 3 as well. tough to say which is better Love and Beasley or Griffin and Gordon. either way you look at it. two dynamic duos for many years to come

Yes, Blake Griffin is amazing with his talent and athletic ability, hes all star material no doubt...but even with all that... Think about this... Kevin Love is the one setting all the records...Kevin Love is ALSO coming back from an injury last season(not as bad of an injury, but it still kept him out) look at the Numb#rs of Kevin Love...its outstanding what he is doing. Nobody has done it in 20 years... Blake Griffin and the clipps seem to be playing alot better now and 60% has to do with Blake Griffin.. but, none the less both Minnesota and LAC have losing records ofcourse, but- you got to look at the facts. Kevin Love has then better numbers(by a slight edge) the Rebounding puts him over the top IMO.. Kevin Love= 51%, Blake Griffin=49%...very close to call. But Love should get it. both the Clippers and the Wolves have bright futures ahead of them. lead by the two young power forwards were debating about right now and probly will be for years. its like choosing a car... do you want the nice flashy one but doesnt run that well. or the normal looking car but runs great. i pick love. i dont know wat i said that for. but all im trying to say is Love deserves it.

    @Gordon

Who does griffin have? Baron Davis? The only reasonable answer to that is Eric Gordon, who is out for a month

    the poll is misleading...
people usually vote the first choice...
and it also mentions that Griffin is better than Love in one of the choice...
that is no way to be true!

Love is the only star in his team...
but there is a lot more support players in Griffin's team...

I think of the All Star game as more of a personal achievement and less of a team effort, so I barely consider the team record when I think of ASW. Blake coming in as a rookie and sparking a new energy in the league, it's beyond impressive. Kevin Love is also an outstanding player and his numbers are phenomenal but if both can't go, it has to be Griffin. He's way more fun to watch and just as the league insider stated above, people actually look for his games.

I must make this short point real quick: I am really sick and tired of non educated new school basketball fans. Like they are interested in the game because it's a fad or because it's popular. Not that many of the things i hear aren't worthy of being listened to, it's just too much nonsense mixed in between. How could any person alive or dead (for that matter) not KNOW or have KNOWN, that the stats these two young men are putting up are all-star numbers.....period. Number one, just compare their stats to the perennial all-stars of today and yesterday. These aren't a weeks stats, we're half way through the season, if these guys averaged half what they averaging right now, they would still be top 2-3 on their respective teams in most statistical areas at seasons end. Whether or not either of them makes the team, their teams records are what they because of them, and would be a lot worse without them. Point being, it shouldn't even be an argument, but it is. It's a only an argument because i have no vote....lol

He has the numbers, the teams had a late start due to injuries to their point guard. They beat the Lakers. I say all star all the way.

The All-Star Game is being played in Los Angeles and although Kobe and perhaps Pau, Bynum and or Odom might get picked Griffin also plays in Los Angeles and he is exciting even though his team sucks.

Kevin Love is a very good player and deserves to be an allstar, too bad few voted for him,he always got a double double, great 3 point shooting, great rebounding but not that good team mates, just remember his 31-31 record

  • Pdog - 13 years ago

They both deserve to be an all-star !! But if I had to pick just one I'd have to go with Blake. He's just more exciting. He's also got bigger wins (heat, spurs and soon to be lakers).

  • nashrambler - 13 years ago

If you're going to insist that All-Stars only come from teams with winning records then Steve Nash shouldn't be an All-Star either. And that's crazy talk!

  • bringthesonicsback - 13 years ago

Love is incredible, probably the best rebounder since Dennis Rodman, but
the all-star game is about exciting plays and highlights, and who's
better than Griffin when it comes to flying through the air and dunking on people?
    Its just better T.V..

Yea there stats are a little similar, but a rookie to be doing this good in his first season is amazing, not only that he is becoming a leader slowly on the clippers, for the past seasons baron davis has been a little unhappy in los angles

  • klovenba - 13 years ago

Both these guys are amazing however I feel as though Blake Griffin deserves to be there because this youngman has battled a serious knee injury in his rookie yr that sidelined him for the entire season, and to watch his team become exciting to watch again when they were so boring, and the numbers he puts up during each game consistently, how can he not be there.

  • abdullahkhanfromhtown - 13 years ago

    griffin forvever

  • dangles - 13 years ago

love should be an all star dam don't you see how his stats shoot up from last season.. the man is dominating his position. double double after double and incredible rebounding
