    Sarah Palin, You bet'ch 2012
    ========================

As for Donald Trump.. NO NO NO AND NEVER !
Donald Trump is an opportunist. He's also a liberal. But he knows he can't run against Obama in the Democratic Primary, so he's running as a Republican.

Could Donald Trump, the Manhattan socialite, reality game show host, and big time donor to Democrats like Rahm Emanuel, really have what it takes to win the Republican nomination? Despite the unique obstacles a Trump campaign would face, his personal wealth and sky-high name recognition would likely take him some distance should he decide to run. The question is whether or not GOP primary voters could ever take him seriously

    Sarah Palin 2012

In honor of Governor Palin's 47th birthday, C4P's Whitney Pitcher put together a post that names 47 reasons, in no certain order, Governor Palin is qualified for the presidency.
These 47 reasons could form the platform for putting America back on track. ..Wish the LSM would put this out in front of the American people. . But, no.. They want us to have the same old same old politicans..Obama is the same old sameold politican.

WE NEED SARAH PALIN GOD PLEASE !

    She writes:

    1) She won’t perjure herself by taking the Presidential oath of office like many of her potential opponents.

    2) She has 9 years of executive experience, more than 3 times as much as the current President. As Governor, she held the 2nd most powerful gubernatorial office in the country.

3)She knows how to budget. In her years as Governor, she reduced the state budget 9.5% over her predecessor and put $5 billion in state savings.

    4) She reduced federal earmark requests 80% as Governor over her predecessor, recognizing the need for fiscal responsibility at both state and national levels.

    5) She’s a proven reformer. She strove to break the bonds between Alaskan politicians and oil companies and passed sweeping ethics reform.

    6) She believes in true governmental transparency. As Governor, she put the state checkbook online to allow constituents to know how and where the state was spending revenue. During the negotiations of one of the cornerstones of her administration, the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA), all proposals were made available for public consumption.

    7) In signing the AGIA legislation and the progress that continues to this day, she brought a transcontinental pipeline project from Alaska to the Lower 48 further than 30 years of previous administrations. AGIA is the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history.

8 ) She believes in oversight not over regulation for energy development. She opened an Petroleum Integrity Office to oversee energy development in Alaska.

    9) She believes in an all-of-the-above approach to energy development, including opening up ANWR, on shore drilling, off shore drilling, natural gas, coal, nuclear, and renewables.

    10) She understands the effects of quantitative easing will have on the economy in general and on commodity prices specifically.

    11) She would have the intestinal fortitude to actually take on reformation of entitlement programs to help derail the bullet train to bankruptcy.

    12) For the role of the presidency, the Constitution devotes the majority of its text to the role of commander-in-chief. Governor Palin would take this role seriously as displayed by her commitment to America’s military and her desire for a strong national defense.

    13) As part of her commitment to strong national defense, she criticized the Obama administration for making cuts to missile defense, and she stands strongly against the START treaty between Russia and America.

    14) She has been firmly against Obamacare from the beginning of legislative talks and strongly supports repeal.

    15) She truly sees America as an exceptional nation because of its people. She praises what makes America unique; she doesn’t apologize.

    16) She puts principles above party and political expediency.

    17) She has stood strongly for securing America’s borders, as shown by her support of Arizona’s immigration law.

    18) She is strongly pro-life–a welcomed far cry from the most pro-abortion president in history now occupying the White House.

    19) She supports human rights, particularly speaking out against the human rights abuses in China, Iran, and amongst peoples who embrace Sharia law.

    20) With regard to foreign policy, she has a far better grasp situation in Egypt with regard to the potential of the Muslim brotherhood’s involvement in a new government and Mubarak’s plans better than members of President Obama’s intelligence team, Leon Panetta and Ja

I like Sarah Palin. Why? Because until someone steps up with guts like her, she is my bet. Sarah actually says the same, if someone else steps up with common sense and a love for America like she has, she will support him. So far, there is no one else. She is very popular, focused and feared by the democratic party....and some republicans. She is among many women in our country that knows there is a need for woman with guts because they love their country and want America to get back where we want to be, not where this administration is taking us.

    Hi,
We need someone with the smarts of John Bolton!!!

  • Colleen - 13 years ago

If Ron Paul is too old, what is Newt Gingrich, member of the CFR doing on this list?

  • Sandra Crosnoe - 13 years ago

    Other - Ron Paul

  • Vanessa Mulnix - 13 years ago

I love Herman Cain. He is a wonderful conservative and if anyone has heard him speak, he is enthusiastic and best of all doesn't need a teleprompter. I agree with many of the comments that Sarah Palin will continue to be the lightening rod and while I think she is great, she can better serve in a role where she keeps the rest of the candidates honest. Liked Huckabee last time but the Tea Party makes him and Romney irrevelant.

  • Steve of Florida - 13 years ago

I like Sarah Palin and Marco Rubio. Forget about what the liberal media is saying about Sarah. She has a strong morale base that this country needs. She believes people should depend on themselves. She lives the original American Spirit in the last frontier in America. We, as Americans, need to be asking not what our country can do for us, but what we can do for ourselves and for our fellow Americans. We do not want a nanny state. We need a MUCH smaller government and MUCH less interference from government. Marco Rubio is a breath of fresh air. He is destined to do great things. Now for a name unknown to most; I would like to see Sonny Perdue run for President. He was Governor of Georgia for the last 8 years. He is a truly Honorable man and leader. Our country would strongly benefit from his leadership.

C'mon everyone; when did the Conservative Movement in this country swerve off the road and goes so nuts?! I'm a life-long Republican in the great tradition of Lincoln, Roosevelt, Reagan, Simpson, etc. - small/retrained Central government focused on strong, but efficient, national defense; committed to social justice and defense of personal liberties at home and support of democratic principles and aspirations abroad (while resisting imperialistic temptations and impulses). I am proud of the Party of Lincoln which holds dear the fundamental value of the sanctity of each individual life (even that of the unborn) as reflective of the image of the Creator, and which cast the deciding vote for womens' suffrage in this country. I'm Pro-Life, but sensative to the need to express that committment not solely in opposition to state-sanctioned abortion, but to state-supported programs that also encourage women's and children's health care, and safe and healthy foster care and adoption when they are needed. I do not believe it is our's - or any government's place - to dictate what legal, consensual adults should be able to in the privacy of their own homes; and that any one who wants to serve this country, out of a personal sense of patriotism and love of county, at personal risk of life or limb, should be able do so proudly and openly without fear from within their own ranks. I am proud, like virtually all Americans, to have a personal history forged from an immigrant past and struggle that has woven itself as a single thread into this glorious, multi-hued tapestry that is the United States of America. I am committed to America continuing to be that "shining City on the hill" that inspires others around the world out of its ideals and achievement, even as it may beckon some to "come and join"; I do not count it bigotry or "exclusivity" to require that immigration to this land be orderly and legal, requiring all new citizens to pledge their allegiance and support to the same homeland from which they seek the benefits of its citizenship. I am utterly skeptical and unconvinced of the possibility of success for any tightly controlled system - whether government or large corporation - and am an unabashed supportor of free markets that fuel human creativity, industry and enterprise, and which are rooted in the belief that their greatest achievements derive from a common, fundamental committment to the values of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of all people. But I also believe that a people truly self-governed can engineer a system which effectively enshrines our deepest values of liberty and justice for all; I do not believe a truly "laissez-faire" approach to our economics and markets is any more beneficial for their effectiveness than it would be in the raising of our children for the orderly and harmonious functioning of our society; Liberty and Structure need not be mutually-exclusive ideas, but can both be put to the appropriate service of those people who uphold their value to the common good. Finally, I believe that a truly self-governed people gifted with such an amazing, representative form and system of government as given us by our founders can only hope to live peacefully and happily when the Rule of Law is upheld. Whether we like it or not, we do live in a consequential universe where each action triggers a reaction. Our laws, when devised and agreed upon, must be upheld and enforced to be meaningful. When faith in the bedrock sanctity of our Law(s) - it's ultimate source and purpose - is compromised, our end as nation and a peaceful society can not be far off. Law borne of Truth and Understanding, consistently upheld and tempered with Mercy and Grace will serve as the lasting foundation of this glorious Republic.
We conservatives must reclaim this heritage and begin rebuilding once again, not on the frustrations of past mistakes, but on the solid foundation of the principles and hope that have always served us best. W

I agree with Maureen. DITTOs! re: Palin

Those who consider her unintelligent/unelectable need to stop watching CNN and remember that Reagan was considered 'unelectable' by alot of Republicans in his day...but consrvatives (Dems as well as Republicans and independents) voted him in. In a landslide. Despite the pompous rhetoric of Dems and pundits.

Reagan's power was from ideas which inspired Americans to reach for their greatness, and stand in the truth this country was built on. He was real and unassuming--and recognized evil when confronted with it.

Palin is the echo of Reagan, calling on Americans to fight for our Constitution as well as for accountability from the media and Washington. She's also real and led by conservative values that resonate with the people.

Besides, I would love to see her square off with the dunderhead-in-chief in a presidential debate.
    :)

The fact that she's been so maligned by media and democrats AND her own party indicates the power brokers fear her. She gives me real hope for change.

  • Richard - 13 years ago

Huckabee and Newt are shameless opportunists. Romney is a decent human being, a lot like Reagan but without any of Reagan's convictions and core beliefs. Sorry, but Ron Paul is a sheep in sheep's clothing. Those in the Party who trash Palin should ask themselves exactly why they do so. Is it because of her views, her outspokenness, or because they themselves are believing the crap the Democrat smear machine has generated, non-stop, over the past 2+ years? Obviously, Democrats are terrified of her potential electability, otherwise they would ignore her rather than wage 24/7 war against her. How can anybody be that bad when his or her opponents are that unhinged by the very mention of her name? Herman Cain is a man of proven ability and beliefs, both in his exemplary business career, and during his career behind the microphone at WSB Radio in Atlanta. Unlike our present POTUS, Cain's entire life is a matter of record.

  • Billy - 13 years ago

I like Paul Ryan, too. Watch him flush the TRUTH out of Oblamya's "State of the Union!" This is a guy who knows exactly what words are coming out of his mouth and so do the liberals! I bet he will be the next target of the Progressive Left "Attack Machine," but unlike Sarah Palin, I don't think they're going to be able to outwit Ryan or catch him flatfooted. Keep an eye on him!

  • Billy - 13 years ago

    tom (from yesterday)
I read your post and agree. I hope more people educate themselves on Herman Cain. I liked him the first time I saw him on TV and Marco Rubio or Michelle Bachman would make a good VP choice.

  • Billy - 13 years ago

My vote from the list is Herman Cain, but like many other posters here I really like Allen West. I would actively campaign for him. It's a shame the LEFT has desecrated Sarah Palin the way they have. As far as I'm concerned, she is just as capable if not more so to be President than Obama, Hillbillary, or McCain. I've been a Network Systems Administrator for ten years and worked in the computer industry since 1984 and one thing I learned a long time ago is that NOBODY KNOWS EVERYTHING in a given area of knowledge. The key is knowing where to find solutions to problems, getting knowledgeable people supporting you, and in the case of leadership, being able to make decisions. I think she can do that! Her head is on straight and her heart is in the right place.
I think she scares the C__P out of the liberal progressives and their only defense against her from the beginning was to try and destroy any chance she had of garnering substantial backing from conservative and Independent voters who haven't figured out that progressive republicans aren't any better than their democratic counterparts! All I know for sure is the next President had better come with a debt AX in one hand and a waste machette in the other because a scaple won't get it done. We need a small government that helps businesses get started and keep growing in this country. One that will switch from this "handout mentality" to demanding that EVERY able-bodied American get a job and work for a living.

  • Isaac - 13 years ago

What an awful, depressing lineup! Allen West is just a junior congressman, but I wrote him in. He has the kind of character, intellect, and backbone this country needs right now -- even though, in realistic terms, he won't be a viable candidate until he has built his name and gotten national exposure.

Out of all candidates on the list, Huckabee would be my absolute last choice. That's the Huckabee who as governor pardoned hundreds of hardened criminals just because they claimed to have converted to Christianity. Huckabee of the "Fair Tax," which is just sleight of hand that would do nothing to actually reduce taxes. Thank you, Liberty.com, for speaking out against him.

  • gene - 13 years ago

Heck 50millon of you pe0ple voted for McCain the last time, the biggest RINO of all time. I see newt is on the list gee whizz I still remember that commercial, with newt and nancy peloci setting on that couch talking about globle warming aqnd going green, made me sick, Newt is a RINO big time. There is no one I like time will tell maybe.

  • pam - 13 years ago

    NO Huckabee
    NO Romney
and for the good Lord's sake, please please Newt--go away!

It is time that the people of the U S should stand up and take reasonably for what they do.
They should not do some thing and when it goes wrong look for the Government to bale them out.
I do not went my tax money to go fore this, I want my tax money to be used for the protection of the U S.
It is time that we do what J.F.K. said “ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THE COUNTRY”.
    What do you think.
    Email me at rjs33918@yauoo.com.

  • Ann - 13 years ago

    Minnie,

You must be thinking about Mitt Romney when you say the candidate is "all things to all people". Mike Huckabee sticks with his principles even when he had the most democratic legislature (ever more Dems than in MA at the same time) to work with.

BTW, today a poll came out by NBC/Wall St. Journal, Mike Huckabee behind Romney by 1 pont (that's because they had far more liberals polled), an ABC poll where Huckabee led and a IA poll that Huckabee led by 28% over the next candidate. Huckabee has also been the candidate to either beat Obama or come in a close second. That sounds like a candidate who is the best choice to beat Obama. Right now Obama has very high poll ratings, but, hopefully, they will come down from their bounce.

Also, when all of the public in each primary state hears how Mitt Romney had Romneycare in MA with mandated health care, no Conservative voter will vote for him.

  • Aaron - 13 years ago

    Lt.Col West FTW

Palin is nothing more than a reality show.

  • winnie - 13 years ago

I think Michele Bachmann is also a viable canidate. Gingrich has been there and really his time has come and gone . Love Sarah shes not going to win against Mr O and we will be stuck again for 4 years. Wayne Root Las Vegas might be a good vice Pres choice. We really need to get someone who can win and we can't take a chance if Obama gets back in for 4 years we may not recognize the country when he is done with it . They will do what ever it takes to get him back in even if it means him taking 2 steps back to make it look like he is changing his views. He will not, he came prepackaged and he is on a mission . These people have an agenda and a whole different way of thinking ,if we intend on saving our Country we need to get someone in who is first an American and him and his crew are not . I don't know where they think they will stand when our Country is no longer the great place we all know it to be , we have no other place that will allow us the freedoms we have here . We have to make a very wise choice in who we pick to run. I agree we don't want retreads [ Huckabee all things to all people].
We need to win this election it may be the most important in our 200 year history..

  • tom - 13 years ago

Much can happen in the process between now and November 2012, so any of the above can drop off and others will likely emerge. People need to learn more about Herman Cain--a genuine constitutional conservative with a true American success story who happens to be African-American. He resonates with hearts and minds over the airwaves. Further, he eclipses the current excuse for a president with his leadership experience as a CEO. He strongly advocates the Fair Tax which, if enacted, will produce unprecedented prosperity for this country, making it a magnet for attracting industry and bringing back expatriated companies. Paired with a Jim DeMint, a Sarah Palin, Chris Cristie, Marco Rubio, Michelle Bachman or Mike Pence, we would have the strongest ticket to take on Obama. (What would the media say about a Herman Cain/Rubio or Cain/Bachman ticket?--interesting!)

  • Janice Gill - 13 years ago

As much as I like Sarah Palin, she can not win, and that can not happen, we must vote Barack Hussein Obama and all his radicals czars out of our Whitehouse!!

  • Jason - 13 years ago

    Pence and Cain

  • Steve418r - 13 years ago

Sarah Palin is the most reconizable name in the list. There is much time between now and the next election, so I have trouble wrapping my head around things that are very subject to change. I would rather focus on the issues of today and wait until the election is closer before I research the potential candidates.

  • Ron Paul is a TOTAL HYPOCRITE.

He put all kinds of earmarks into bills for all kinds of really stupid crap in his own district, yet refused to support any funding for victims of Hurricane Katrina http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s66bTshO1jM . He needs to pull his head out of his *** as bad as his cult-like followers need to pull their heads out of the sand. They act like no one else has ever heard of the Constitution before - bunch of morons! Ron Paul even tried to throw the election to Barack Obama! http://ronpaulexposed.blogspot.com/2008/10/ron-paul-could-throw-election-to-obama.html

By the way, a ticket that combines Herman Cain and Mike Huckabee, regardless of which is Prez or VP, would be completely unbeatable. They're both FairTaxers and serious pro-lifers, so they would make a great team as they articulately fight for the same goals. Cain is black and Huckabee won 48% of the black vote the last time he ran for Governor in his state. They would be completely unbeatable.

  • Josh - 13 years ago

    Chris Christie or Donald Trump!

  • AesculusPavia - 13 years ago

I would LOVE to see Herman Cain run as the CONSERVATIVE candidate in the 2012 election! He is a true conservative and the most qualified IMHO. More people should take the time to educate themselves on these candidates, their records, and personal backgrounds, because it is a SHAME he is only carrying 9% of a vote among conservatives right now. Mike Pence would be a close second, and would make a great VP candidate with Herman Cain. We need good , honest, hard working people (like these two men) who firmly stand for the values that made this country great IF we are EVER going to get back on track to being a government that is "of the people, by the people, for the people"!

  • Ghost - 13 years ago

Ron Paul? you kidding?! he's a naive fool and tool of the Left, educate yourself for God's sake!

"...this ain't no Party, this ain't no Disco- this ain't no foolin' around..."
John Bolton, a MAN'S MAN and Super Patriot

  • Brenda - 13 years ago

There are others that may do a good job as well that have not stepped up yet, But on the list now I like is Mitt. 1st is he has proven to be a good businessman, 2nd he has earned his on wealth 3rd he is honorable & faithful to his religion ( whether you believe it or not) & his wife. We want have to worry about him, playing around on our Money, while in Washington! 4th since the elections he has stayed pretty much out of the lime light, ( which shows he is not narcist, like many of our politicians are). He has been busy working on the"Free & Strong America PAC", that he started, to help elect conservative candidates & continuing to influence the national debate on jobs, taxes, the economy, & the budget. As Ronald Reagan said, "It doesn't matter who gets the credit , if the job gets done!" Mitt's feel good, seems to come from making a success of things. I don't believe we have to have someone that is loud, & all over the map. Christ was calm, direct, assertive when needed to be. He wasn't always defending his actions & words. He knew the truth would come out. He hurried no where, & he got his job done , on time. I am in no way saying Mitt is Christ, but we are all suppose to be, trying to be Christlike, & I have seen these qualities in the way Mitt, has lived his life, ran his campagne ( when attacked by Huckabee, & McCain), and behind the scene now that the election is over. If not Mitt, I want someone similar!!!

  • lil - 13 years ago

Keep on saying who you'd like because of this & that, but John McCain was amazingly qualified, over-qualified and had served this country 4EVER! but he didn't win against the most unqualified inexperienced doof EVER. Think..WHY is this?? Was it the historical push by the leftists media? People, wake up! Stand behind the Historical election of the first woman PRESIDENT SARAH PALIN !!!

  • Dianne - 13 years ago

We need a very aggressive conservative who knows how to make the tough choices and to stand up for principle. Since there is no candidate that is on the list with the character traits of Det. Harry Callahan such as Chris Christie because he is not interested. Now if you could get a West/Rubio ticket -- you would have my vote all the way. Rubio needs 8 years of VP experience and he could take it up a notch in 2020. We need guts in the game!!

  • TNinfidel - 13 years ago

Where's Allen West or John Bolton? They are far better candidates than any of these you have listed. Really poor choices in your poll.

  • jim murray - 13 years ago

Once again, another phony tea party organization ignoring Ron Paul and his core principles. The real people who started this tea party movement are free thinkers. Individual who espouse the virtues of our founding documents. And there is no politician out there who better personifies my beliefs than Ron Paul.

  • sKraft - 13 years ago

I won't make recommendations, although I am certainly prepared to readily discount 99% of the candidates. My candidate at least, must

Must be an ideologue of the Founding Father's persuasion, have a commanding knowledge of the Constitution, national and world history, international politics and free market economics, must be a red, white and blue blooded patriot, and cannot be an old establishment Republican.

  • John R - 13 years ago

Even though Sarah Palin espouses Tea Party ideals, and I believe is sincere, she is just too abrasive. She needs the skill set to persude and not polarize, like Reagan did. Her invite of "Rino" John McCain to an anti-Reid Tea Party rally showed me that she just doesn't get it.
We need a candidate who has a decades-long track record of conservative principles - so we don't get fooled by "Rino" candidates like Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina (in CA). I lump Mitt Romney into the same group (with his single-payer health plan in Mass).
    Don't be fooled.

My suggestion: Jim DeMint and Marco Rubio

  • sKraft - 13 years ago

So I take it the patriotcaucus.net supports the old Repubs and not the resurgence of libertarians?

  • CARL CLARK - 13 years ago

What happened to the most qualified candidate, Mitt Romney? In my opinion we need a straight, successful legit business man and Romney is certainly that, if he is interested.

  • Judy - 13 years ago

    Sarah & Michelle!

  • Amanda - 13 years ago

No more politics as usual. We must move away from the expected lineup. We need honesty, character, integrity, love of country, honor, respect, responsibility, sacrifice, belief in our Constitution, etc.

It is reported that Trump has a personal relationship with Soros.

Newt? NO! See "The Real Newt Gingrich" on youtube (4 parts).

Sarah? NO! It just won't happen.

Let's look at Jim DeMint for President and Michelle Bachman for VP.

    Or

    Ron and Rand Paul

    Or

    ???

For those who feel Sarah Palin has "too much" baggage, I ask you this. Where did that baggage originate from? Seriously! Who are the people trying to paint/label her in a bad light? Who are the people that want you to think she is "too stupid" or "lacks" the experience and background needed for this position? Who are the people that think and say, "Coming from a small town in Alaska, she can't posibly understand such worldly issues?" I'll tell you who those people are.

It's the same people who were just voted out of office and those who supported those people while they were in office. That's who! I resent the fact that candidates, not from major metropolitan areas, or those with the "familiar" last name or the party favorite, lack the capability or experience to become president.

This is my opinion. I grew up in a town of 300 people in Washta, Iowa. I graduated from college, I've served our country as a medic in the 82nd Airborne, I've been married for 14 years, have two kids and now live in the small community of Bayside, WI. Imagine how stupid I must be in some people's eyes?

  • camntx - 13 years ago

While I respect and admire Bobby Jindal, he is NOT eligible to be President under the Constitution (just like the illegal alien in the WH currently). His parents were not citizens at the time of his birth, which disqualifies him.

I would love to see a Michele Bachman/Lt Col Allen West ticket. I am really tired of constantly being offered the same old mainstream Republicans of the "good ole boy party". If we truly want change, we must rethink our leadership and start voting our convictions and consciences and not the Party line...

  • Dave Hoffman - 13 years ago

I would SERIOUSLY consider Donald Trump. I would also like to see Condoleesa Rice (first black woman) and, of course Ron Paul. Almost forgot, Bobby Jindahl.

  • Judy Spady - 13 years ago

You better do it again with Ron Paul - will probably be a totally different outcome!! I say Ron Paul, Marco Rubo.....or my personal favorite PAUL RYAN!!!!! :-)

    Go GOP!

  • ed tonkin - 13 years ago

What about Ron Paul? If anyone has been standing for Tea Party principles before there was a Tea Party it was Dr. Paul. In addition the new Representative from North Dakota looks good and Gov. Chris Christie from New Jersey looks good too. The list needs to be broader.

  • Mike Sauerzopf - 13 years ago

I'm with those calling for Jim DeMint's name to be on this list. Along with Sarah Palin, he is the only Republican standing up for conservative values, and he is the toughest CONSERVATIVE Republican Senator. He had the guts to go after Lisa Murkowski and try to get her removed from a committee when she snubbed the Republican primary in Alaska and kissed butt with the !Unions! to get re-elected as a write in. I liked that - he stood up when all the other Republicans were too afraid to.

  • Dawn Marie Clark - 13 years ago

    This poll fails miserably.

No one in this poll can be called Conservative.

The ONLY true Conservative is Dr. Ron Paul.

Leaving him out makes this poll worthless.

Dr. Ron Paul for the WIN!

  • Diana Leffel - 13 years ago

Of all those on the list Sarah Palin got my vote, but I really think she is better off where she is, telling it like it is in a straight forward manner. I, also, feel this is way too early to be talking about what will happen in 2012. I really did not like any of the choices. Most are from the establishment and I don't want anyone like that.

  • tedyunger - 13 years ago

if your going to beat obama you better get LT COLONEL ALLEN WEST!!!

  • ted - 13 years ago

this list sucks its another rhino list. where is ron paul or lt. colonel allen west??? i wouldnt vote for any of those rhino freaks up there.

  • Crutch - 13 years ago

I think it's crap that you didn't put Ron Paul on the list. The Tea Party isn't about the Left or Right, it's about the Constitutional. The responsible and Consistent. Those that are worthy by deed not propaganda.

Seriously, Eric you loose Credibility by intentionally leaving him off the list. My Tea Party are not branches of former Neo Cons. We are America's last chance. I don't vote based on TV. I vote based on principle.

Not one person on that list even comes close to Ron Pauls Voting record, Economic Knowledge, and consistency.

    Redo the Poll.

  • Albina - 13 years ago

Donald Trump for President and Sarah Palin for Vice President!
I've had it with all these politicians. We have a cooperation to run and it's called AMERICA!
I am so sick of all the politicians talking out of both sides of their mouth and none of them on either side care about the American people, our children or our grandchildren! It's always about their "political" future or their "lobbyists" and favors!

  • Ken - 13 years ago

Palin 2012!! To those who say she is "too polarizing", well, any TRUE Conservative is going to be polarizing. And now more than ever we need a true Conservative in the White House. Not some RINO or spineless, reach-across-the-aisle-and-compromise type. We need someone of good character and Palin is the only one on this list who fits the bill. I would hope that, if she does win the Republican nomination, that all Republicans will stand behind her.

  • LC - 13 years ago

Try again with that list! We need new blood, Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Marco Rubio, I think when the time comes there will plenty more coming out to run. It is too early right now. If that is all we have we are in trouble.

  • Grace - 13 years ago

We don't need Sarah Palin as Presidential candidate. She is fine where she is but we need someone with a little more business experience.

  • kim jagars - 13 years ago

And I know if we don't get motivated like the black people did at election time we will be stuck with Obama again...I was the minority at my polling place for the first time ever, they had Obama t-shirts on & were fired up. It doesn't matter what he does between now & then...just like OJ wasn't guilty.

  • kim jagars - 13 years ago

And I know if we don't get motivated like the black people did at election time we will be stuck with Obama again...I was the minority at my polling place for the first time ever, they had Obama t-shirts on & were fired up. • Pat cook - 13 years ago

What about Donald Trump. He was on the Savage's show last week talking about running.
none of the choice listed have a chance to win.

  • Kim Jagars - 13 years ago

I think Huckabee would be a good, honest, and morally sound president but I doubt he would get enough votes b/c of that.

  • A Place for Possibilities - 13 years ago

It would be great to see a poll that identified the demographics of your database respondents.

I would not vote for a Christian identity conservative. That is yesterday's news and the liberty movement needs to move on to core American values within a pluralistic spirituality.

  • mac mccallister - 13 years ago

i agree with the statement, what qualifications? how did this man get elected?- we have been asleep at the wheel for 100yrs...what we did or "didnot do " is a mute point as americans this late in the game...as a voter, i have become so ill towards political larceny and the arrogant mind set it creates, that no list of names would suffice...we must "STOP" these liberal sibblings by means of the people...OR ....eventually mr. & mrs. john q. public "WILL" do as they have "always".... survived !!!....(political correctness, whining, agenda groups and 2008 mistakes can be erased from the board)...

  • John - 13 years ago

If it was to be Palin, we might as well just "hand over" another four years to Obama

  • All-In - 13 years ago

Of all the top GOP contenders, the only one with a long record of real accomplishment is Mike Huckabee. Look at their RECORDS, not their rhetoric.

  • 4 Fairness - 13 years ago

I see Donald Trump moving forward in the coming weeks. He has the name recognition, the business sense and a conservative republican background. I like all of the others except Huckabee because he isn't conservative enough. A few of the others don't have the name recognition and a couple have some troubled issues in their past.

  • Jim - 13 years ago

We need a new Candidates not that same group. We want supporters of our Constitution.
    Try these candidates.
    1. Paul Ryan
    2. Michelle Backman
    3. John Bolton
    4. Sara Palin
Not the same old Candidates, and Palin is not in that group. No more losers

  • Ann - 13 years ago

Ryan, Christie, Jindal, Jeb Bush, and Rubio said emphatically they are not running in 2012. Cain, Rand Paul, West, Rubio, and Trump do not have enough experience or in Trump's case, never ran for office. Cain ran for office in GA once and lost. Yes, he is a CEO of a business, but no executive experience.

For those people who say Romney and Huckabee are old news, we need somebody new, just remember that Reagan lost his first bid for President, came back and almost won every state. Mike Huckabee wasn't known in 2008, but because of his show lots of people know what he believes on the issues and they really like him as a person. Mike Huckabee has won almost all the polls taken in the last 18 months which means he won the most Conservatives, Republicans, Independents and Moderate voters to win the poll. He won a poll for PA and IL, led in four different polls in IA and leads all the candidates in the south. He has always had the highest favorables, and lowest unfavorables. To win against Obama, we must have a Republican candidate who the Dems and Independents like if the voters are upset with Obama. When he ran for Gov. of Arkansas, he got 48% of the African American voters.

Mike Huckabee is not a Washington insider. Jeb Bush just stated two days ago, that Mike Huckabee has the best communication skills of everybody in politics. We need that to go up against Obama and win.

Somebody here commented Mike Huckabee raised taxes in Arkansas, and he did because he had over $200M in deficit when he took over as Governor and improved the schools from 49th in the U.S. to 6th place. The voters in Arkansas loved him and still do. He is the best candidate we could have to run against Obama. Huckabee 2012

  • D - 13 years ago

Ron Paul definitely comes on strong to those who aren't familiar with his views, but there are three very essential reasons he should be included 1. He is straight on concerning everything Republicans stand for. Some Republicans don't understand his view on the military, but he DOES support a strong national DEFENSE! Very much like Eisenhower on that. 2. While I like the rhetoric of many conservatives, we have a 30 year voting record on Ron Paul showing us that if he is elected, he will do exactly what he says; that is always a gamble with most other politicians. 4. He has appeal to conservative Democrats and Independents. 3. He has a very, very fervent following. This translates into the boots-on-the-ground campaigning that wins elections. While he had no chance of winning the primary in the last election because he was marginalized even by his own party, if the party took him seriously and worked with him campaigning, he would not only be electable but practically unstoppable, especially with even the Democrats tired of the fiscal irresponsibility etc. Actual Republican Party support + fervent supporters = WINNING 2012!

  • Dianalynn829 - 13 years ago

No way I'd vote for Pence. While I believe he has some very good leadership qualities, he has let us down in the past.

In the late 90's I wrote to get him to help fight NAFTA. We were in the midst of our gread manufacturing jobs being shipped to Mexico at that time. He responded that he was sorry but he felt that NAFTA was good for us!!!

Later when they began to pass another free trade agreement, I wrote to him a second time and again that time he tried to explain why those free trade agreements were so very good for us.
Where are our jobs MIKE??? Mine went to Mexico and never came back. Thank you.

If Palin runs, she will just take enough votes to make a showing and Obama will be re-elected. We cannot have Palin on the ticket at all.

Personally I'm for Donald Trump. I'd like to see any candidate try to out debate Donald Trump. And that man is purely red, white and blue ... a good American that can carry us to victory.

  • JohnT - 13 years ago

Col. Adam West would definitely have my vote. Huckabee, Romney? Give me a break!

  • Sandi - 13 years ago

I want Ron Paul. Sarah Palin would be excellent VP or I also like the suggestion of his son Rand Paul.

  • Geri - 13 years ago

If Condi had wanted to run, she would have done it by now. No thanks to Colin Powell - he is a total RINO, and he supported Obama in the last election.

  • Spenelli - 13 years ago

I would like to see Colin Powell, Condi Rice, Col. Allen West throw their hat in the ring. I like Sarah but she lacks a good grasp of national and international affairs and we can all see what that has gotten us the past two years.

  • Lee Poteet - 13 years ago

Those who have only served in Congress have no executive experience. That's what we have with Obama. Romney, who was governor of Mass, passed a health care program there which is bankrupting the state. No judgment. Plus he is backed by the Bushes which means that they won't him to fail so that Jeb can run in 2016 and I don't know about others but I have had my fill of the Bush family. They are RINO's, pure and simple.

  • Alex - 13 years ago

Polling about viable presidential candidates is a bunch of hogwash! We need to be as vocal and visible about our values as possible in the next two years. The energy of the Teaparty is in the people. Standing against the self serving political class and constantly "stirring the pot" will allow the right candidate to rise to the top. We need to shake up Washington in great numbers time after time. Remember what it was like?

  • Phil - 13 years ago

Look at the numbers vs the graphic representation. The numbers show Huckabee at 12% and other at 16%,(when I did the poll) then look at the graphic representation...Huckabee bar is much longer than "other" Something is fishy.....

  • David - 13 years ago

Other: Ron Paul. I would be all for someone else who has been as solid on the principles and was more charismatic, if there was someone. Until I see that candidate, it's Ron Paul for me. Not even on the list, wow, that's sad. After setting the all-time one-day fundraising record, raising the most money in the 4th quarter leading up to super-Tuesday, and receiving the most money from the military of all the candidates throughout the campaign. Not even on the list. And lots of people asking why. Add me to that list.

  • Marlene Crumley - 13 years ago

Chris Christie has said he is not running and, while I really like what he is doing in New Jersey, it remains to be seen how effective he is. If he can turn the state around, I would vote for him, but it'll probably take more than the next two years to do it.
I will vote for Herman Cain if he is on the ballot because he is a black conservative with experience in business and has a better chance at defeating Obama by getting votes across the spectrum. He made a lot of sense on Cavuto yesterday but he doesn't have the political experience the DC crowd seems to think is necessary to be president...but then, neither did Obama, as we have seen.
Sarah Palin would get my vote except for the fact that she is too polarizing for a lot of Americans and the left pounces on her every word and derides her at every opportunity. She has no chance at unseating Obama.

  • Linda - 13 years ago

Mike Huckabee is so far above all the other candidates I couldn't begin to support anyone else. As Jeb Bush stated the other night on FOX, Huckabee is extremely intelligent and can connect with people better than anyone on the political scene today. The man has been successful at EVERYTHING he has ever done. Best selling author, voted one of 5 best Govs. in the US...plays a mean bass, hugely popular tv show at FOX and he took over Paul Harvey's radio slot which has grown to being on over 600 stations! He came out looking like a rose after the 2008 campaign. Though he didn't get the nomination, he came out of obscurity to finish 2nd place on a shoestring budget and was the ONLY candidate who ran on the money he had "in the bank" and didin't go millions of dollars in debt with his campaign. Who else could come so far on so little money???? NO ONE. Huckabee is one in a million.

  • BTW - 13 years ago

I love Sarah she has the guts of Patton. but can she get the votes sadly my gut says no. However we need someone who will not waiver, and if I were President I would appoint Sarah to be in charge of the EPA

  • Leroy Jones VIII - 13 years ago

Christie ain't running, West ain't running, Ron Paul ain't running... Get over it.

  • Leroy Jones VIII - 13 years ago

To all the Ron Paul enthusiasts, Ron Paul ain't running for President. Ron Paul has achieved something that is of extreme value. He is chairman of a committee. He has more power and influence that he has EVER had in his entire congressional experience. What we need is a leader who will lead.

By the way, where was Mike Pence' leadership when the GOP melted down in 2006? Why wasn't this man rattling the cage about congressional ethics? Seems to me, Mike Pence (although a good man) has been a player.

Sarah Palin? Please... This gal is a political whore. She trotted her smooth self all over America spouting good political soundbytes, all the while sucking the public dry. Heck, in Georgia she even charged a candidate $100,000 for a 1 hour gotv rally. She's the political National Enquirer queen. No thanks....

  • Wayne - 13 years ago

Lt. Col. West really needs to be on the list. Once you 've listen to him and his views you know he's the one we need to run against Obama

  • Ruth - 13 years ago

While I agree that Ron Paul has been "fighting the good fight" (especially with the Federal Reserve) for many years, I think we have to look for someone who can offset BHO's "charisma" with some of their own. Paul just seems too "low key" in his presentation personality. Palin has the "charisma" but too much media baggage...remember we have about 25% - 40% of the general public (libs, dems, progressives, uninformed, etc.) that we're going to be up against and we have to "fight fire with fire" (oh gee, is that violent rhetoric??). We'll wait and see who starts to rise to the top in the next six months or so, what they do with healthcare repeal, the budget, etc. However, at this point, the thought of Pres. Trump and VP West brings a smile to my face. I think both of them have the spine to know what needs to be said and the charisma / character to actually do it!

  • dan - 13 years ago

Newt is by far the best prepared, smartest, & most experienced guy on this list.
I hope in runs, and is nominated!!!
    Go NEWT.

  • Caracek - 13 years ago

I see a lot support for Christie. I guess these people are not from NJ. This guy is a RINO - appointed an Obama supporter as AG, is appointing a muslim Afganastan citizen to the NJ Superior Court, is already implementing Cap & Trade and Obummercare. Get informed people. Love Ron Paul, but don't think he will win - love Rubio and West but too inexperienced, Palin is a great conservative American and was a great for Alaska but I don't know if she would win, Pence is a good conservative - the rest are RINOs and all belong to organizations that want the NWO, including Rice. So, at this point in time, I would vote for JIM DEMINT FOR PRESIDENT with maybe Pence, Paul or Palin for VP!

  • Perry - 13 years ago

And Ron Paul wins another poll that he was not included in!!! RP 2012

  • Barry - 13 years ago

I'm going all the way with Sara Palin. All true conservetives loved here to start with. But I am afraid many of them since have been brainwashed by all the negative things the media and liberals are saying about her! They hate her for only one reason. That being, she is femail and a tried and true Conservetive. To me Conservetive means NORMAL! Go Sara!!!

  • dabooda - 13 years ago

Yawn. You could summarize the whole list as "more of the same." Who CARES which of these warmongering big government spendthrift power-grubbers gets the nomination?? The only guys in the Republican Party with brains and balls are Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. Clearly whoever put this list together has neither.

  • Roger Hermann - 13 years ago

Don't understand how you could leave Ron Paul off the list. His 2008 campaign ignited the tea party. I have to say that when you put neo-cons like newt and Mitt ect on you list and not Ron Paul, I really don't want anything to do with your group. It is done either on purpose because it is controlled by neocons or is done out of ignorace. Either way not my cup of tea.

    Roger.

  • Steve - 13 years ago

If you don't support Ron Paul, you're a fake Tea Partier.

  • Dennis England - 13 years ago

i was at the very first Tea Party here in Oklahoma City
75 of us supporting Ron Paul 2008
this time 75,000 of us will be supporting Ron Paul 2012!!

  • Greg Simmons - 13 years ago

Many people are asking why Ron Paul isn't included in this poll, but he is - his name is "other" and "other" is in second place with 16%. Another Neocon attempt to marginalize the good doctor Paul. My hometown paper (a Gannett McPaper) ran an AP story recently about the early discussion of possible Republican nominees for 2012. Not a word was mentioned about Ron Paul. Hmmm, could there be something the ruling elites don't like about Ron Paul?

  • Gary Chambers - 13 years ago

Jim DeMint is a good Conservative and if he is not interested then I would like to know his views

  • George Whitfield - 13 years ago

I voted for Ron Paul as an "Other" and was disappointed that you did not list him. He was correct about the economy and the wars and I will support him for sure.

  • Cods Waddle - 13 years ago

Sarah Palin, first woman President of the USA.
