How much preparation do you do for a talk?
I write my entire talk out in advance, and read it verbatim. In a monotone. With no visual aids of any sort.
I write the whole thing out to get the ideas down, but then speak from an outline or cues on my slides.
I write out a detailed outline, which I use to make slides, but the exact words of the talk are improvised within those limits.
I have a standard deck of slides that I shuffle into random order before every talk, to maintain that fun element of surprise for both the audience and myself.
I like to speak entirely off the cuff, without slides, because it makes me look like a Sooper Geeenius.
As a being of pure intellect, I do not have a physical body with which to give talks. I directly beam my answers to radio button polls onto the Internet WITH MY MIND.
