I have seen the prices rising and expected the weak dollar had a lot to do with it. I was not aware of the rest, but really appreciate your sharing it. I love coming in and seeing all the new fabrics, color and drooling. As another posted, I would be interested in the wash and wear of the new line, but I'm not so much concerned with that, as I want my quilts to be enjoyed for their beauty and craftsmanship, but also want them used and that would require some wash and wear, but so be it. They have not ever been, nor will they make it into a historical museums to 'ooh and ahh' over. sorry, not my style.
Let's all keep our chins up, and if things get too bad, you all can come 'shop' in my overflowing craft room for material, flannels, batting, thread, cross stitch supplies and kits, and yarn by the mile. (not kidding, and still I buy more). You could come anytime if you were making something and sending it on to a charity;
BUT DO NOT CUT OUR REGULAR SHOPS OUT OF THE LOOP. They need our support as much as we need them to be there.

Thanks for the info. I became aware of the price hike in cottons just recently, and your e-mail clarified it. Appreciate you.

Pam, I would like to see a quilt made from the off-brand, washed and hung in the store. I can clearly understand the rise in price for the fabrics, just dont like it. We have come a long way from old feed sack quilts, of which I have several. So there is always something new on the horizon. We can give them a try and see how they blend with what we already have. We really need for you to stay in the business.

Your story on fabric rise was nicely said my husband told me that last year sometime when I was shop hopping and telling him how some shops prices were really high. I think you are very nice to inform us on fabric cost.
