I find that those individuals claiming to be foodies really have NO clue whatsoever what they are eating. I LOVE food and love great restaurants that get it right. No need to impose my love and enthusiasm to others (by exclaiming FOODIE-NESS) that may not share the same passion. However, those people do offer a level of dining entertainment...

I've found that every woman I know who calls herself a foodie actually has an eating disorder and uses her loud exclamations of "I'm SUCH a FOODIE!" to cover the fact that the one bite she's exclaiming over is actually the only one she's going to eat. I've never, thank all that is right and just in the world, met a man who called himself a foodie.
