The #45 is significant because it shows mj's indecision and love for the game. Indecision for choosing to hang it up and love for wanting to come back. It shows his greatness because his number was already set to be retired by the organization so they had to make it over again. However the shoe is most famous for his 72-10 season where he wore the #23 the entire time. As a self-proclaimed Jordan fanatic I would rather have the #45 just to have the rarity factor.
