That's stupid... IT IS THEIR JOB TO SHOW UP! Should they get bonuses for showing up every time it rains real hard or is too hot? No, because that would be stupid. I live in Maine and that blizzard is just normal everyday winter weather for us. Suck it up people and do your job ( it shouldn't take a $250.00 check to get you to get your butt to work).

I am a nurse too, and I DID NOT make it to work during last week's blizzard. I think even with a bonus I wouldn't have made it either coz my door was shut by the snow. BUT I really feel it was life threatening to go out that day and that bonus given to Cook County hospital workers is not even worth the risk that those personnel took to go out and report to work.
DON'T BE SO NARROW-MINDED CHICAGOANS...they deserveD more than that...
