Brownstone is fabulous! My husband and I have eaten there several times and the food has always been delicious. It is a wonderful place to eat and Ft. Worth is lucky to have them.

I've eaten at both Forage and Pago in SLC -- Pago gets my vote.

  • Tammy Hammond - 13 years ago

My vote is for Casey Thompson.

SMOKE & chef tim byres rock!!!!!!! The scallops are to die for. Nobody does it like tim.

Tanya, since when did anyone "build" food? Is that a hospitality industry term borrowed from the construction sector?

  • KB - 13 years ago

For those in the Phoenix area, NOCA is a must. Chef Chris Curtiss and his helping hands in the kitchen never cease to leave all who dine there wanting more. The food is always fresh and truly delectable.

I have had the chance to eat the food of viet pham at forage and I must say I am happy to see them on the list. Their food is delicious. Go Forage!

TIM BYRES IS THE BEST CHEF EVER!!!!!

Eat at Smoke. That's where all the cool people eat.

  • Liz - 13 years ago

Sarah is just looking for attention. I could not disagree more.

  • Leah - 13 years ago

I agree with other commenters here.....as a participant in the Top Chef competition for several seasons, Casey Thompson can hardly be considered a "new chef". Betting her votes are mostly from name recognition by the uninformed.

Casey's Brownstone is definitely a large step above most new restaurants in Fort Worth. Casey's cooking and direction make her a top chef!

  • Doc - 13 years ago

Oh yes! I love Forage. I am so happy that they are included on this. Well deserved.

  • SH - 13 years ago

Forage is a wonderful restaurant and I am very excited to see it on this list! Thank you for showcasing restaurants in cities where others wouldn't think to look!

Has anyone actually eaten at Smoke? The food is totally inconsistent, usually leaning towards awful. The pies taste like crap because Tim insists they be extra tall so that they look cool, but it makes the crust way too thick. Why is he even up here?

I really liked Brownstone. Only been there 2 times though

  • Tanya - 13 years ago

I 'm a small local (mabey 1 mile away)grower of organic veggies and flowers. Micheal and Pagos not only build wonderful food - They make you welcome and excited.

  • william - 13 years ago

Right, her place could qualify in a best new restaurant category but new chef?? dont get it.

  • Robert Martinez - 13 years ago

Casey's new restaurant is a hit not only with the locals in the area but word is spreading and people from all over the metroplex are coming to try out heer delicous entre's and appetizers.

How can someone who has been on Top-Chef be considered a new chef. What is the criteria for "new chef"?
