If you ever work with Vish, even if you do not have an appreciation for food meshed with creativity and originality in complete perfection, his passion will inspire you. His unrelenting devotion to create this art we call food is the reason Vish deserves this title.
Alex, we were as surprised as you, but when a Chef like Lewis is known in his town for his talent and passion, he will jump up 15%, without getting desperate in the end.
I believe it is a fair and square competition. Like you said, there are prestigious brands and amazing chefs involved. These masters were not nominated for something small.
Go Vish, go! Does anyone else find it odd that the chef from Bettola jumped up at least 15% in the past few days, putting him in 1st place out of nowhere? I hope these type of polls are handled fair and square, especially with such prestigious chefs and brands involved. May the true people's best new chef win!

Vish's abilities in the kitchen are superb and inspiring...his ability to meld Southern tradition with cutting-edge international flavors (including so many tasty ones from his native India!) make him a coveted treasure around Oxford, Mississippi... Kudos to him and with gratitude for his sense of adventure and creativity in the culinary domain...
I have never tasted any food so good in my life, other than the food at BETTOLA. If you get the chanse to go don't be a moran and pass it up GO!!! You will never be the same. My vote is For JAMES LEWIS THE MASTERMIND AT BETTOLA!

Just visited Oxford, MS and ate at Snackbar a couple of times. Have to say Vishwesh Bhatt's amazing food was the highlight of my stay. His ability to bring a unique twist to great southern food kept me wanting more. His charcuterie is the best I have had. You have to eat there if you ever get the chance. Oxford is lucky have to him.
I am a very lucky lady because I get to eat Vish's dishes on a regular basis. Oxford, MS is soooo proud of him!!! Got to eat a Vish fish dish not long ago that he had prepared for a contest in NOLA. I am 51 years old and consider myself a "foodie". Hands down best plate of food ever...whole combo with greens and corncake...Hope he won that and wins this contest also! GO VISH!

Vote for the Pig. I mean for James Petrakis and the Ravenous Pig. Always excellent food, comfortable envirnoment, great service and a very good wine program. And, the Pig is bringing a new approach to dinning to the Disney region.
The best place ever to eat is the pig! they always have a new dish on the menu and i love the farm to table idea they have makes it different and exciting.

BETTOLA has the most amazing food. I felt i was back in Italy with the flavors and unique quality.
There was definitely a moment when i stopped to eat so it wouldn't end.
