Are training races better suited for training or racing?

If they're calling it a race, I'm there to win it.

Eh, I'll put a couple of digs in, but it's not a "real" race.

I'm just out to get some miles in with my teammates.

Training race is an oxymoron. Just go ride if you want to train.
