Being the meetdirector for the Pasadena/Ca State Games, I can see the
enthusiasm of the athletes, trying to qualify and succeeding.
Correct, not every Masters competitor will go to Houston, the pro's and con's have been mentioned. Probably not every qualifier will go.
And yes, Tom, I still remember - years ago - that the discus at our meet was cancelled, actually, not only was the cage closed, we were told by the "forces" that we could not use the infield... we even tried to throw on the front lawn of the College....
Those things are a nightmare for the meetdirector as well. We changed the location, but I never know if something else will go wrong, or the weather is not playing on our team...
By the way, you have mentioned so many times, that you would not come back, that's ok,
can you get over it, or will I hear that for more years to come? Our meet is still a great qualifying meet.

And Yes, the fee for Houston is ridiculous.
