Franco sucked. Bored and smirky, apparently "too good" to bother putting any effort into it at all. Anne had to try to pick up his slack. I feel bad that she got stuck with him and wonder how she would have done with a better cohost.

It is this first time I didn't get totally bored and flash back to another channel.The beginning was hilarious! Franco could have been more into it though.So nice to see Kirk Douglass up and about!

Anne Hathaway was game and good. But James Franco seemed like he was hosting a different show altogether. In his mind. Therefore not paying too much attention to the Oscars.

It showed how much i miss Bob Hope who i wish could have continued hosting and still hosted the Oscars permanently. He has not had an equal not even Billy Crystal who is a lot better than Franco or Hathaway. Anne Hathaway looked beautiful in her lovely dresses.But she flubbed her lines on one occasion which she handled well, but which is inexcusable for a professional like her and sang only once. She showed what a good singer she is, when she did sung, but i wish she had sung more often.
