I'm with you guys. I think the landscape orientation looks slick, but when it comes down to practical usage, it's not very practical at all. I find it's much easier to read things in hardcopy (often in bed, LOL). It's much easier to flip pages and less tiring on the eyes when a document is in portrait orientation. Plus, when you put something in a binder to read later, you can more easily flip through and read the pages without having to turn the binder around this way and that (particularly if you have other docs in there that are in portrait orientation).
Most of my reading is done at the end of the day. I like to print it and take it to bed with me.
I like to highlight, mark up, etc. Usually this is done before it is put into a binder as the binder is awkward unless at a desk or a chair.

I sometimes print the book out but more often read it online.
Portrait seems so much more natural and easy to read:)
