At first I was against the plastic bag ban. But it does make sense -- landfills are filling up and when the bags get into water, they don't deteriorate and cause problems for wildlife that eat them, thinking they are food. Now I think the ban should be expanded to the whole state -- if not the whole state, include Roanoake Island, that is surrounded by water but currently does not have to participate in the ban.
