Many of your readers know as much as you do about the rio scene. Their imput could be interesting. I've been here 26 years & know a few things too. Enjoy what you are doing keep up the good work.
I have a question: if comments were allowed, where would they be placed? I do not think it would be helpful to have them cluttering up the e-mail subscription that you send out. Otherwise I don't feel strongly either way - presumably people can always vote with their feet if they don't like your newsletter and unsubscribe.
