    Sure. Each One Teach One. It may launch the next wave. @Prairie View, Fall 91, due to suspensions, all we had were Sigma RhoMeos holding down the cane game. I twirled as a Young Gentleman of Houston Tx 1986, Jones High. so we all shared moves. I personally trekked to Prairie View's homecoming to witness Yogi under those tents. I tried to take home as many moves I could to my Gent Brothers.

    I was split on this at first, but I think I agree that information should be shared. At least the basic information.

    I think we should keep some of our special moves to ourselves tho. Maybe pull them out when we need to, but picky about who we teach them to.

    I have moves that i dont even do in public.

    I've taught well over 100 non-Kappas to twirl. Outside Kappa people that practice batons, flower sticks, various types of juggling, staff, and other flow arts share information. They are eager to teach anyone (including me) how to do tricks and improve the artists. As a result, the other flow arts evolve and keep the interest of thousands of artists. The art is better for it.

    Often times Kappas try to keep cane twirling only within Kappa. However, many non-Kappas at the high school level pick it up anyway, and there are lots of members from rival organizations that can twirl. Moreover, the secrecy hurts the Kappa bond. Chances are, your favorite "kane master" is suppressing info from other Kappas (which is an affront to our core Kappa concepts). Moreover, the art is worse for it.

    Soon, I will be releasing a video of a few hundred non-Kappas using canes on http://canefreestyle.com . Hopefully, Nupes will be inspired by what they see and cane twirling will expand to cane freestyle. There are tricks and techniques in the video that are extremely creative, difficult, and entertaining. It will redefine the term "cane 'master' ". Likewise, I'd like the non-Kappa community to be inspired by Kappas, and the art will be better for it.

    Nupes should not feel threatened by others using canes. Nupes can still achieve and be "the best" with canes. However, "the best" title should not only be earned but maintained. As with other arts and sports, the standard should go up (rather than stagnate with a status quo).

    If Kappas cower because non-Kappas twirl (and do cane freestyle) then we do not deserve to the be stewards of the cane. The art should not be limited by the collective ego of a group of people. The foundation of being "elite" should not stand on our Greek letters but rather our abilities and achievement.

    With new tricks, techniques, and inspiration the art will be better for it. And, perhaps if Nupes are more willing to share with the outside World, we'll be more share more internally;

    Then, the Bond will be better for it.
