Cancer Awareness on Facebook: Supportive or Silly?

It's silly. People should actually do something to help others, not post girls-only codes in their status to "raise cancer awareness". It's classic slacker activism.

Women fighting breast cancer need all the support they can get, and if it's through a fun and harmless Facebook fad, so be it!

I'm not participating but I do think that anything to get people more aware of cancer sufferers is worthwhile.
