Who cares!! He has been nothing but a front runner all of his golf career, when on top (all smiles, when not doing well, long puss). Now that he isn't winning everyone is wondering when he will come back, again I say "WHO CARES". It's a sad testimonial to our socity that puts this type of self centered individual on a pedestal reguardless of his skil level.....

Charlie Rose asked Arnold Palmer in a recent interview if Tiger will ever beat Jack's total major victories and he said he didn't think so now. He said Tiger now lacks the "X" factor...that mystery intensity and desire mixed with ability that sent Jack to 18 majors.

lets make something very clear concerning tiger woods and i hope he reads this. tiger woods have let sports journalist to build him up and at the same time tear him down. they have made a fool and laughing stock out of him and behind close doors they really want him to lose. the reason why they are building him up and tearing him down tiger really doesn't know how to handle the pressures of the media where he can really relax and go out and play his game. they are manipulating and controling him and in the process marginalizing him. tigers game now is no threat to the young golfers that are coming along now because they know his strategies and inconsistences. these journalist are totally completely racist and they definitely do not have tigers best interest at heart. yes they put the pressure on him to come back in order to bring in the money and to jack the ratings up. when he is interview at these golf outings he sounds like a stupid idiot and an asshole and they call it taking the high road when really he doesn't realize he is feeding right into their game of total manipulation and control. i beg tiger to stay away from the media don't go to these golfing events to hold news conferences because you to not know how to inwardly emotionally and mentally handle the media these people are jacking you up and hanging you out to dry. yes you are competitive and want to win but show that out on the golf course without uttering a word. you are brown nosing and kissing ass and eventually you are going to lose your self esteem and self worth and fall into a spirit of depression and loneliness and you will become bitter and resentful and feeling rejected and frustrated and angry with yourself and others around you. tiger read this and take my advice.

Did you see his swing in the PGA? I didn't even realize it was Tiger. He has an uphill climb in front of him to get back to his old form. At 35, with a how-many-times? operated bad knee and personal baggage...I already bet my husband "no" on this one.

eldrick is scum of the Earth. when he turned pro he was nothing but Phil Knight's walking billboard for Nike. He had zero personality and was a cry baby. I remember him actually complaining when fans were cheering for Sergio Garcia at Medinah near Chicago when Sergio was like 19. eldrick is a true piece of garbage. I'm sure his father is very proud of him. maybe his father should have taught him a little bit more than golf, you know, things like being faithful to your wife and how to be a mature individual because it is perfectly clear that eldrick has never grown up. let me know when he drops dead. then I will have something to stand up and cheer about.

This is the most sensible article I read about Tiger in a long long time. I totally agree with you.

Tiger has been through more than just an average divorce. This alone would shake any top performing athlete out of sink for a year or so. Im not saying that the moon the stars and the earth all have to align again before he wins his next major... But now all that combined with a swing change, a coach change, a life with his children change, a new girlfriend... A lot has changed here for this guy. Lets not forget he is still the best the game has ever seen. Once he finds that balance that he feels comfortable with he will shine again. Unfortunatley for Tiger...each tour event that he plays in is a mini microscope examination why he dosn't win or why has didn't win last week... The media made this guy what is was off the golf course to sell everything from video games, to books, to gateraide. The media also gained great advertising money from his success too. The PGA makes much more every week if Tiger anounces that he is playing in the next event... ticket sales sore, and TV adds launch the news.
Now the media is selling based on the potential fact that this could be the week that Tiger wins again!... Well, you can't have it both ways you guys...either your with Tiger, and you are routing him on to do his best, or you are against him. I think that he has been through enough public humiliation no matter where it came from. The guy is a national treasure that unfortunately fell off his shining stead. I would rather raise him up for his accompliahments in golf and for what he has given the game before I throwing him inder the bus. I also think that his competitors should not have any problem rooting him on too...since he is the only reason that they play for the kind of money that they play for now. If you don't believe me then just look at what the PGA paid the winners in the game befor Woods and now since his turning pro. All you professional golfers know exactly what I'm talking about... Lets just hope that Tiger comes back to the level of play the he once got to. I for one, miss watching the TV to see anothe record go down because Tiger was re-writing the way golf was to what golf can be...and now is. All of the future golfers will learn about what Tiger Woods brought to the game. I just hope that Tiger gets the chance to realize his goals that he set fore himslf before everything turned against him leading up to his catastrophic life changing events. I am still a fan. I root Tiger on every chance I get. You may think I crazy, but I also root the American way of life on too. I hope that we get to see our way of life come back to us before we fall into a Socialistic paradox that we can't recover from... You bet I like winners! They often don't let anyone keep them down. I don't expect Tiget to be any diferent. What about you... Are you gonna let the media keep you down?

He will break Jack's record. Still the best shot maker in golf. He is only 35 years old for crying out loud. How much better condition will Tiger be in at 46 then Jack was when he won his last major?

The man just did great at the masters which is one of the toughest courses in the world. In time he will win just by playing the same game he just played at the masters.

It's tough when your young, but he was the best of the best..." I thought people new that "sex equals a bad athletic performance" was a hoax; just like "baggy pants originated in prisons as a sign that someone wanted to take it up the ass". We Americans never tire of spreading BS, half-truths, and lies and showing the rest of the world that we are a nation of people who are more ignorant and arrogant than any other. It is truly sad. :-(

no no. he will NOT ever win another tourney, and nicklaus' record is safe...he didn't screw on his wife either, did he?

  • Rita S - 13 years ago

Eventually he will...however, I relish every tournament he loses. I hope he keeps my spirit up by losing. What a snake!

It's tough when your young, but he was the best of the best,
Now he's just so, so. Not that he's not still good but not the way he was.

  • ORB - 13 years ago

The game is much bigger than Eldrick or his fans can admit.

  • bob - 13 years ago

He might[?] win another major. The wind has left his sails, and quite honestly it looks like he has totally lost his zeal and concentration for the game. It's too bad, but..it is what it is.
