I hesitate to bring this up, b/c I am afraid it will be misunderstood, but I must know: does anyone else find it peculiar/interesting that all anyone could talk about last year regarding Adam, was his sexual orientation, and no one ever brings that topic up regarding Jacob? What is up with that? Is it a double-standard b/c Adam did theater/wore guyliner & leather or b/c Jacob is an African-American male? Are people discussing it and I'm missing it? I thought it was annoying and ridiculous that people would NOT stop discussing it last year, so I'd like to think maybe we've evolved beyond that, but somehow I doubt that. (i know, i know, why do I bring it up? b/c I truly find it an interesting phenomena! juxtaposing the difference in media coverage b/n Adam and Jacob at this point in the competition) And why did the producers allow that clip of Jacob pre-accusing America of only not voting for him b/c of our own inability to examine "ourselves in the mirror?" b/c it REALLY did not do him ANY favors with voters. Jacob--I am looking at myself in the mirror, and watching myself dialing for other contestants who OUTSANG you last night. end of story.
