I was going to say it was surprising to see a band I had never even heard of beating a legend in Switchfoot so handily. I figured there was a lot of PR work and advertising involved.

Yeah I got upset, I apologize to the Red fans, I am a bit of a Switchfoot Fanatic so I lost my mind. Red isn't actually that bad and saying they are a bad taste in music is a bit stupid. Everyone has their own opinions and I shouldn't bash them. So rock on Red, but I am still 100% for the foot.
I really like Red but Switchfoot has always been my favorite band. I agree that if they had got the message out about this poll they would have a lot more votes. I'm not trying to knock Red because they're great but Switchfoot has been around a lot longer than they have . They've won 9 Dove Awards and 1 Grammy. Their music speaks to a lot of people and yes the guys are Christians like the guys of Red. They're great live and they know how to interact with their fans.
Red brings out jesus in non believers who never paid attention to life and how us as jesus followers are suppossed to live.. both are great bands but hands down across the globe ....beteer music,better music,real instruments,best live band, amazing real christian men! All you have to do is listen .... its all there! RED
There's just one reason why Red's going to win this contest.... because the band itself did some PR to get votes.
If Switchfoot would do the same, their votes would increase with tons of votes and win ofcourse...
Red deserves to be the winner! They love Jesus, and they make some pretty great music. Best band EVER. Redheads unite! :D

Switchfoot is good, I personally think Red is better, but FF5? Its laughable to me that anyone would try to say they should be ahead of Red.

Probably another tween, but Red is one of the few of these bands that appeals to many different types of music listeners, to say its hilarious that they're winning is just flat out stupid. And as you may not know, musical is almost completely subjective, so its wrong of me to even say that FF5 sucks I guess, but Red is a band that appeals a lot more to mature listeners as well as many tweens such as yourself. :D
I love RED and have seen them twice live but SF is simply better objectively. RED is only winning because of reader demographic. SF wins grammies, RED doesn't :P
Switchfoot is the BEST!!! They are the bomb!!!!!!!!!!! I wish Relient K would have also made it, they are WAY underrated! :)
Dear Adam, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?! Red and Switchfoot are BOTH GREAT bands(but vote goes to Red). And how in the world do you think that Red is a bad taste of music?? Really? What makes them suck in your eyes? Because to tons of other people, they don't suck. But really guys, I think both of these bands ROCK!!
