Michelle Bachman is the only one out of the 4 that really has the Tea Party convictions in her soul! She is one of a few Republicans who boldly voted against the "make a deal" budget negotiations to keep the government from "shutting down", along with one of my most admired freshmen, Allen West (but he's not running for POTUS)! She has the courage to take on her own party as well as the Washington elitists like Obama, Pelosi and Reid. She is intelligent, articulate, beautiful and compassionate, as evidenced by her adoption/fostering of a couple dozen (?) foster children, but above all a PASSIONATELY PATRIOTIC AMERICAN! We can second guess every candidate running, on his/her ability to beat Obama, but I believe we CAN beat him at his own game by seizing every opportunity to put his/her face (or West if he chooses to run) all over the TV and demanding that the major Republican entities become unified behind the most conservative (least RINO) candidates that will showcase the stark differences between socialistic and capitalistic/republican government, and by eliminating the overriding influence of the Unions and purging the voter rolls of dead and illegal voters. Our electoral process is fatally flawed and must be repaired before 2012 or we will not win! God bless Michelle Bachman for her courage and determination to steer us back to less government and more freedom!

Herman Cain wouldn't even audit the Federal Reserve; Michelle Bachmann is a PATRIOT Act-supporting war-hawk; Mitt Romney created the basis for Obamacare and is vehemently supportive of our failed War on Drugs; Tim Pawlenty is the best of the bunch but opposes same-sex marriage and would reinstate Don't Ask Don't Tell... why isn't Ron Paul included in this poll? He's the best conservative (thinking about) running, and he'd crush Obama in any debate; plus, he appeals to independents, something that most conservatives have trouble doing given their dogmatic social views.

I like Newt, I think he'd be excellent, and he would absolutely bury anyone in a debate - but he has baggage that makes him a target.
I would love to see Bob McDonnell, Chris Christie or Marco Rubio run, and don't forget John Thune. Hopefully there is more to come. I hope one of these great people will step up.
Its also interesting what Trump brings to the dialog. Not sure if I want to be president, but he seems say some obvious things that others are afraid to for some reason... and those things resonate.

As a very successful businessman, Mitt Romney was asked to bail out the broke and scandal ridden 2002 Olympics. He could not let the Olympics go down so with everyone advising him no; he did it anyway. He turned the Olympics around beyond anyone’s hopes, donated his salary to charity and stepped down. Mitt Romney became Gov of Mass. because the state was in such a bad financial situation, turned the state around and stepped down. Sound like anyone you know in politics today? NOT!! His father was one of the most beloved Gov. of Mich. (3 terms) and he was raised on proper and honest statesmanship. He has a solid record of accomplishment and public service in the true sense of the phrase. And, like his father, he is married to his high school sweetheart.
I think Herman Cain is outstanding. He has great business acumen but has never held an office. I think he has very strong morals and his vice-presidency would be a perfect compliment to Romney.
Pawlenty wants to cut Social Security and Medicare to balance the budget deficit. He says he balanced his Minnesota budget without raising taxes. What he did was shift things around and cut 58 million from schools. He took the state “sick tax” which was to reimburse doctors for care to the poor and cut back their pay 3% and put the money in the general budget to create a false but better picture.
Michelle Bachman is an embarrassment to herself and her party with ignorant comments on our history and government issues. She is a media nightmare and a field day for the opposition. Her lack of knowledge would embarrass a middle school student. She’s right up there with Obama saying he’d visited all 57 states. She congratulated N.H. for the "Shot heard round the world" and said our founding fathers abolished slavery, among many more things.

We need someone who can stand up to the machine of the Manchurian candidate. Of this group I like Cain. He's not a career politician and he's a successful capitalist. We need to get America back to the basic logic of we gain revenues by growing our economy, not by advancing the Nanny State. As we have seen from the current budget debate, the Dems think any cuts will kill Americans and anyone who recommends cuts is an Extremist (Saul Alinsky). Their solution in the long run will be to tax the rich and then the rest of us. In the end, I don't think we have seen who the nominee will be yet. Let's think back to the 2010 election, a lot of new faces. 2010 should be our guide to 2012. I like Trump like some of you, but just heard he is a liberal on health care and would advocate for a single payor system. Not sure if this is accurate, but will look into it. My only concern in the end is that as Republicans/Independents we rally behind our candidate. This country cannot afford another four years with Obama - domestically or internationally (think of Israel).

Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain in 2012. We have never had a female or Black in the White House it's time we put them there. A Skunk is in the White House, Obummer is half white & half black and everything he does stinks.

Are we not looking for a person qualified to run the b iggest and most powerful company (our country) in the world? Yet you babble on about who sounds the best, who you think does this or that. Look what the hell we ended up with last time we voted in a likable "bullshippin" oratator. You could of written Obama's resume on the back of a napkin and we all knew it and man does it show now! But you have to admit he sure sounded good! I would put Romney in with Trump for someone that has run something big and successful... not just his mouth which is the case with most politictions! We are here to hire someone competent to clean up a monster mess and understand in detail what he is doing and how to get it done. Our government is no more than a 1000 or so very poorly run companies. Romney has made a ton of money doing just that... taking a poorly run company and turning it around! He wouldn't have to guess he would be drawing on real time work experience. So he wasn't a perfect Governor but how the crap did a conservative republican get elected in Mass. anyway? Look at what he did for them! As we are witnessing now... the stupid surround themselves with other idiots like the thugs Obama has surrounded himself with. Face it... Romney knows what he is doing when it comes to running a company. I don't care if you don't like him for whatever dumb ass reason you dream up... mormon, past governor of a lib state or whatever... look at his qualifications... We don't need another disaster popularity contest! Remember the Olympics Romney pulled out of the gutter and actually made money on. Romney is the smartest and most experienced person for the job out there with maybe the exception of Trump. Wouldn't it better to have a mormon than the muslim as President anyway...? Look at hiring someone who is qualified and then get behind them. With all of Romney's money what the hell would he want the job if he didn't love our country and think he has the experience to change it. At least he would surround himself with people who know how to run something!!! Maybe a Romney / Trump or a Trump/Romney ticket?

I love Cain. He seems to be a Reagan conservative who has had great success in his career and understands the landmines laid by previous administrations and sessions of congress. I have no doubt that Mitt Romney is a decent, honest individual, but his Masschuetts health care program speaks louder than his rhetoric ever can. Bachmann is interesting, but a little green. Pawlenty picques my interest, but I would like to see a full, unbiased analysis of his sharia law thing before i make any commitment to him. Huckabee is an unabashed liberal, in spite of his polished words, and the more he opens his mouth the more aparent that gets. Gingrich sounds great when he speaks of the intent of the founding fathers, but when it comes to issues he's just a plain old RINO. How he ever managed to father the" Contract With America" is bey0nd me.

Even if Romney should repudiate the Massachusetts health care system, I wouldn't support him (money or volunteering).
Bachmann is my choice because of her conservative politics, confidence and stage presence.
I can see her being addressed as Madam President.
And... as a woman, she will appeal to many women who are very supportive of Obama.
Both Herman Cain and Michelle Bachmann are awesome, principled people - but both would be torn apart by the media unless they take some proactive steps now to control the message. Romney is a politician (strike one), was responsible for Romneycare in Massachusetts (strike two) and the Mormon thing can't be overlooked - PBS did a hit piece on the Mormon religion during his first run for office (strike three.) Right now, I don't see anyone who could knock the 2012 election out of the park.

Don't hate, but I do like Michelle ~ she is outspoken and I believe has guts to take on what will be left behind.
Mitt is old school, but veery polished.

I don't know Cain, and I don't think Romney or Bachman have a chance. So I'm picking Pawlenty in this poll. I'm not aware of him being a RINO, but I could be wrong.
I will NOT vote Republican if Romney or Pawlenty win the nomination. I need to research Cain more and Bachman seems to be another media nightmare like Palin but if she proves me wrong she could earn my vote. I would vote for Obama second term if Romney or another RINO wins the republican unless Ron Paul or strong libertarian is on the ticket. I wish Romney would just be a good Mormon and stay home! I like Trump's toughness and negotiating skills!
I won't vote for Romney. Of this bunch, Cain looks the most promising.
Unfortunately we cannot vote for the person we think will be the best President. Rather, we must vote for the one who has the best chance of winning. I think I would prefer Huckabee and Barbour.
Comon tea party! how would Romney have any of this percentile vote....let's move on!
wish Allen West was in list.
