We are to have a family reunion (on my father's side) in September. Most of my generation haven't seen each other since we were children and it all started with one smart match on My Heritage which has snowballed.

we get together 2-3 times a year. but thats my mothers side, on my father's side we haven't gotten together in over 5 years.
so when my grandfather (my mothers father) died in March it wasn't that weird feeling of not seeing other people in the family. It was a celebration of what my grandfather accomplished. He has 6 children 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. We are close nit family.

It's sad, but it seems as though funerals are the only time my extended family gets together. I'm hoping to change that during this generation.
