Well now that the voting is over..... Just to note that if the powers that be and the "industry" guys have their way - I predict the four bands left standing with be those that fall into compliance with "the norms" and be the least original, bland flavored, bubble-gum saturated goo among the listed acts.
These things are all rigged harder and faster than old Ironsides heading into a steep gale - everything was pre-determined, and we all missed out on real rock and roll that ended with the death of Cobain, Sid & Nancy.
Please disregard this message if my band is selected.
Bon Jovi is a hard rock band. Most of these bands are playing dull, slow, indy dork music !
Hard rock fans won't want to listen to this bland acoustic mellow garbage ! There are only a couple hard rock bands even in this contest ! RIOT KINGS are clearly the best hard rock band in this thing ! Not even close !

These bands are all terrible fits for Bon Jovi. Who going to the Bon Jovi concert wants to listen to teen pop or teen pop punk for that matter, eclectic worldy music, terrible lyrics, or just overall whiny singers (if you listen you can get multiple singers on this list for this one). Wait a minute, they'd all be good for Bon Jovi, now that I think about it.

Definitly should go all the way for this! Their rockish pop styled music is addictive, fun and beautiful and their youth begets new interest into the word "band". Their talent, individually and conjointly is phenomenial. The singer's melodious voice is masterful and well controlled. The Guitar players understand each other uniquely and let their music take over not only others but themselves too. The bass is not just a repetitive, single note but plays beautiful rifts of its own. Lastly, the drums aren't creating this disgusting wall of noise but rather has their own flare. Together, this is the talent that is Lakshmi.
So in the end, who should open for Bon Jovi? The answer is simple.

If you've ever wondered what the most ridiculous guitar stylings, bass harmonies and unique percussion parings sounded like, you'd want to vote for String Theorie...because their live show is kick ass. Completely unique. I can't even categorize them. A total force.

Carrie Johnson is such an amazing talent - songwriter, guitarist, singer - it's time that she gets heard! Opening for Bon Jovi would be such a wonderful way to expose this exceptional musician. Have you heard her cds?? Have you listened to her voice - her lyrics? Move The Sun is my favorite but there are about 100 songs she has written! Vote for Carrie - she has the experience and energy needed to rock the house for Bon Jovi's opening act.

Right on Bobbo! This is Michael, the lead singer/guitarist of Little Ugly and I couldn't agree more. I say good luck to all the bands and congrats on making it this far. We all play music out of the joy it brings to us and to our listeners. Right now, we all have already won because so many people are hearing about us for the first time just by making it this far. I'm honored Little Ugly gets to be in this contest with each and every other band and I say good luck to all of you. Whoever wins, make Bon Jovi work for their money on May 7th!

As hard as we all work to become the best we can be is like having another full time job. I personally Put everything I have into my music and I'm sure every musician up here knows what I'm talking about. Sure I would love to do this show as would the rest of us. You have to be joking man. I listened to all the artists and to say there isn't a "song" other than Carrie's shows you are blatantly ignorant. Off the top of my head, String Theorie and Little Ugly have the two best "songs" on this list. Carrie's, and I mean no offense, is bland at best. Those two groups have a very unique sound and one can tell are very well trained musicians. I say vote for what moves you. Little Ugly has my vote. String Theorie should have some of yours as well. It was tough but it came down to who I think would win in a battle of the bands. I don't think too many crowds are ready for String Theorie's talent.

Well Bon-Jovi is a "ROCK" band Not country. Out of the couple of "ROCK bands here I'm gonna go with Mindscream. This girl is very talented Not to mention that kick ass Pink Guitar she plays

C'mon really. I know you got FRIENDS in this thing and all BUT: All musicians know it's the quality of the song in the end that matters. Carrie Johnson clearly has written the best SONGS out of this whole bunch so use your ears and lose your personal bias. It ain't about the "show" in the video or the "volume" or whatever. It's about the quality of the songs that matters. And there's not a "song" anywhere in this list by anyone other than Carrie.

Cross-eyed cat is a must to open this show, they have have the ability to draw a great crowd in addition to the great Bon jovi. These two bands sharing the stage together would draw an amazing amount of fans. The shows not just good for cross-eyed cat, with them on it, it's better for the music scene. The band displays a great image, great talent, just a group of well rounded musicians with so much experience! Pick them!

Bon Jovi is all about ROCK music... a lot of these bands are too country or too bluesy to open for a rock band. Also, some of these bands have already had some great exposure and high profile gigs. The top 4 bands should be rock bands that have not had a chance yet. There's really only 2 or 3 that fit the bill that I can see...and my vote is going to Mindscream. Rock on guys!

I have had the pleasure to see Carrie Johnson several times in front of an audience. It always amazes me that that we are blessed with such an incredible local talent. Although many local singers/songwriters have talent, Carrie has that rare combination of talent, passion, perseverance and ability to entertain that makes her stand out from the rest. To be fair, I have not had a chance to see many of the other bands, but Carrie is the clear choice from my experience. She can rock the house and has never let her audience down.

I have had the pleasure to see Carrie Johnson several times in front of an audience. It always amazes me that that we are blessed with such an incredible local talent. Although many local singers/songwriters have talent, Carrie has that rare combination of talent, passion, perseverance and ability to entertain that makes her stand out from the rest. To be fair, I have not had a chance to see many of the other bands, but Carrie is the clear choice from my experience. She can rock the house and has never let her audience down.

CROSSEYED CAT IS THE ONLY BAND FOR THIS GIG.....they have the experience, talent and stage presences necessary to open for Bon Jovi. The guitar player is off the hook, and Crosseyed Cat will get everyone primed for Bon Jovi. What a great show this is going to be, and I can't wait to see and hear it in person.
