Why do you prefer home over the theatre?

I like actually going to the movies more than staying at home...although I do watch a fair share of movies at home...I do think that the price of a movie ticket is way too expensive...especially now with the new Dine In theaters and basically every movie coming out in 3D...Do we really need to see EVERYTHING in 3D? It's not even good lol...I do find myself waiting to see certain movies on DVD/Blu Ray now instead of usually going out to see a movie I want to see right away...Granted I still do that with certain movies but not nearly as often as in the past.

I actually agree with you about enjoying the 'going out' experience more than the 'staying in/ home theater' experience, and in general I opt to go out.

However, I answered the poll on what turns me off from going the times I choose not to, just for the sake of the poll. The first 2 weeks of a movie, I am extremely hesitant to go because of crowds, especially some of the more trendy movies because there is nothing I hate more than being surrounded by teenagers making annoying comments and throwing things. Also I am fairly short, so a bigger crowd always ruins my experience as most people are taller than me and obstruct my view. I almost wanted to also choose 'too expensive', because now that Movies cost $10-14 I am more picky about which choose to spend my money on, where as I used to just 'chance it' on a movie I was on the fence about.
