How evil is Apple's tracking software on the iPhone 4?

Sorry, I'm not a sheep like many of you. I greatly value my privacy, a hacker could do you great harm with this info. Also, how do you wipe it when you change phones? Back to BlackBerry for me, Apple cannot be trusted.

Downloaded the iPhone Tracker app which uses the data to plot where you've been and I think its quite decent hidden feature to be honest. Who cares if someone knows where youve been.

As one commenter points out, "...if you think this is the only thing tracking your life than (sic - should be then) you're naive!" However, it is more naive to think, simply being constantly under surveillance is reason to lie down and accept it. That's the very reason we should fight back.

If this exists then it is subpoenable. Let's hope circumstantial evidence never gets us in trouble.

This also could be a huge issue for stalkers.

Also, I own my phone, that means I should be in control. I know I give up control of my email because I get it for free. If I'm being tracked then I want the option to pay full price and control it, or get a cheaper version to give up info. I don't gain anything from apple tracking me, although ape certainly does.

Who cares. Really, don't we have better things to worry about?

Who cares...if you think this is the only thing tracking your life than you're naive! There will always be a tradeoff between technology/convenience vs. privacy.
