Echofon is my new favorite, even though it has an average user interface. Not as pretty as the other clients like Twitter/Tweetbot, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's ugly either.
I find Echofon to be the fastest at refreshing/updating my tweet timeline and there are some nice features like being able to mute (filter out) certain hashtags and users, trend definitions (see why a topic is trending by clicking the question mark icon next to it), and syncing between iOS devices.
Echofon also seems to support more image services in-line such as instagram and Plixi (the official Twitter iPhone app loads them in a webpage which is slower and more clunky).
