I watched on NBC only because I usually enjoy the broadcasters on this channel. A few points I was disappointed not to see two things in particular.....the father raising her veil!!!! and the bride and groom's approach to the main alter!!!!!! What is with NBC coverage and close ups of young boys singing!

Watched on CBS, then a BBC/PBS rebroadcast.

On CBS there was some good 5.1 channel sound with minimal compression, but with many errors of significance, taking away from the event. Before the service the great tower bells were way too high in the mix. Then at the beginning of the processional, an amazing amount of microphone rustling (likely one of the commentators) was heard for ~ 30 seconds, followed by too much commentary (Couric) over low-fi microphones. They also had a faint pre-echo early on, which likely was in sync with video, though the main signal was off at least one second. Eventually they got the sync right. An amazing and truly disappointing number of audio errors for a professional broadcasting company!

The BBC/PBS version had excellent commentary, but higher audio compression, so the fidelity was lower, though fortunately the A/V sync was maintained.

BBC America-Unquestionably, the best source for the Royal Wedding. A class act above and beyond the other networks.

The live coverage on BBC AMERICA, was outstanding! There commentary on all the arrivals was right on. There was NO commentary from the time Catherine entered the Abbey till William and Catherine left to sign all the marriage certificates. The best was NO COMMERCIALS !! The ceremony was beautiful, along with the music and choir. I felt like I didn't miss anything. It was special to me, since I was sitting right there where Catherine's parents were sitting back on March 4,1999. The organist started playing at that moment. It is a great memory.. Thank You BBC AMERICA - It was a Beautiful and Traditional Day.

The CNN coverage of the Royal Wedding on April 29 was totally stellar! I can't imagine better coverage! The shots they got of everything were amazing. The sound was excellent, and I was very impressed with CNN's coverage. I would very much like to purchase a DVD copy of CNN's coverage, should they make one available! It would be the best keepsake of that beautiful wedding anyone could possibly have. I felt almost as though I had been there at the wedding, those clear, beautiful closeups and long-shots were so well done! I loved ALL of the music in the Abbey, and also the ceremony itself, with its profound respect for tradition, and the deeper meaning of marriage and lifelong commitment. Thanks and kudos to CNN for a top-drawer memory I'll never forget!

I have looked forward to the Royal Wedding and felt that Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer did wonderful jobs in their commentary with involved persons' interviews and their factual accounting of the day. I have always admired Barbara's journalistic commentary and well rounded approach to any subject. Their respect of the monarchy and timely comments were well placed. The coverage included British subjects and their kind and thoughtful comments regarding the weather in the Southern United States and well wishes for Alabama in particular. Unusually thoughtful on such a glorious day in Great Britain.

I have to say, I am an avid NBC news person, morning and evening, but ABC for Nightline and any programs by Barbara Walters take precedence for me.

I AM BOYCOTTING ANYTHING DISNEY/ABC FOR AGEISM,( no one over 49 or under 18 is counted in the ratings), SEXISM( men are not counted in the ratings at all including our Servicemen watching during a break), LOSS OF JOBS IN THIS ECONOMY( 600-800), AND FIRING AMC STAFF AFTER THEY DISNEY/ABC HAD THEM RELOCATE FROM N.Y. TO L.A.( their children had to change schools, leave behind their friends, and their spouses had to get new jobs) IF THEY DO NOT BRING BACK OUR SOAPS, AND GIVE ALL THOSE JOBS BACK, I WILL NEVER WATCH ABC AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched The Royal Wedding on BBC in my living room, and taped it on NBC in my bedroom. I would have been taping it on ABC if I was not boycotting them. I did however, feel with it being a British Royal Wedding that BBC would have the best coverage, and know who to talk to about what was happening. I actually watched BBC from 11pm until 7 am my time. I LOVED THE WEDDING...PRINCE WILLIAM AND HER ROYAL HIGHNESS CATHERINE LOOKED VERY REGAL, AND YET SO DOWN TO EARTH.
If you want to help join the fight to BOYCOTT DISNEY/ABC for all those things they did above please join us at facebook group "STOP ABC FROM CANCELLING AMC AND OLTL SOAPS" Hugss Debbie

I watched on CBS and it was probably the worst live coverage of anything I've ever watched. So many delays and screw ups.

NBC coverage was bad. They made several huge errors -- like announcing that Prince William was speaking to Mr. and Mrs. Middleton in Westminster Abbey before the ceremony. They were still at the hotel and hadn't arrived at the church yet! They kept referring to "Princess Catherine" when she is now the "Duchess of Cambridge. " They didn't know who was riding in what car and couldn't recognize major members of the royal family. They did talk about themselves a lot, though. Bad.

I am boycotting all ABC shows due to the soap cancellation! I watched quite a few hours on BBC!!! Was great! Too bad ABC...your loss!

  • Gretchen - 13 years ago

Watched on NBC as I refuse to watch ABC ever since they cancelled their soap operas and called their fans dogs that could be trained to watch new shows. A network that treats their viewers like that will not get my viewership.

  • Carol - 13 years ago

I started with Katie Couric but when I flipped over to Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters they were past where Katie was. I felt Katie was lagging behind so watched most of it with Diane and Barbara.

  • Sally - 13 years ago

I watched on CNN. I did not watch on ABC as I'm boycotting ABC because they canceled AMC and OLTL. NO MOUSE IN MY HOUSE EXECPT FOR SOAPS!

  • Mieka Speir - 13 years ago

I did not watch on ABC. I am boycotting ABC except for their soap opera block due to their unacceptable cancellations of All My Children and One Life to Live. I am also boycotting everything Disney. I thought the Today coverage on MSN was great!

  • Gina - 13 years ago

I watched it on NBC and I will watch the highlight show on BBC America tonight. I am not watching ABC except for the soaps since they canceled All My Children and One Life to Live.

WISH I HAD KNOWN, LAST NIGHT HOW TO CONNECT TO BBC...OBVIOUSLY, TO CONNECT TO THOSE AT THE SCENE OF THE HAPPY EVENT WOULD HAVE PROVIDED THE BEST COVERAGE, IN THE TRUE BRITISH STYLE, I CHOSE THE INTERNET IN ORDER TO HAVE COMPLETE COVERAGE, NOT INTERRUPTED BY COMMERCIALISM.

AUTHENTICITY, AT SUCH AN EVENT, IS PREFERRED..NBC 'S PRESENTATION WAS SEEN THROUGH AMERICAN EYES, ENJOYABLE BUT THE BRITISH TOUCH WAS , OF COURSE , MISSING.

  • Solveig Ware - 13 years ago

I'm boycotting ABC, because of the cancellation of the Soaps! NBC is my new favorite network, until ABC gets smart and decides to keep the SOAPS!!!

  • maribeth mattox - 13 years ago

  • Lavern - 13 years ago

Watched NBC. Refuse to watch anyting on ABC except for "All My Children", "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital".

  • Upset in Texas - 13 years ago

Watched ABC, I too am boycotting due to long time favorite All My Children and One Life to Live. I watched Diane Sawyer because I knew she would give an informative look at the then and now of the two weddings, of Princess Di, and of he son the Prince.
Other ABC/disney shows I do not watcch. Disney will CHEW and swallow the HUGE mistake, and bring about the end of an empire, (ABC). Katie C. should stick around and pick up the pieces.

  • Jim Kelley - 13 years ago

I meant Katie on CBS not ABC. Sorry. ABC had above average coverage.

  • Jim Kelley - 13 years ago

ABC, led by Katie Couric, had the worst coverage and suffered from audio problems that made watching the ceremony quite uncomfortable. Katie also pretended that the wedding facts she presented--and which were obviously being fed to her--were from her own vast fount of knowledge. Commentators on the other networks had the good judgement to ask questions of their expert guests. Fox had surprisingly good coverage.

  • Melissa - 13 years ago

I watched it on NBC. I am boycottign ABC and Disney until they reverse their decision to cancel AMC and OLTL

  • Lucy - 13 years ago

No ABC/Disney anything for me due to cancellation of the soaps.

  • LucyFan - 13 years ago

I watched on CNN - I too am boycotting EVERYTHING Disney and ABC. They wanna cancel my soaps? I am boycotting them as well as their corporate sponsors, Proctor & Gamble, General Mills, Hershey's, etc. I'm hoping Sony buys AMC and OLTL, along with GH and puts them on NBC - I'll watch the shows FOR SURE over there. Then they'll beat Fronsholes replacement shows and we'll all sit back and laugh at his FAILURE. HAHAHA!!!

  • Jennifer Murphy - 13 years ago

I watched on NBC. I am taking part in the Boycott of ABC because they cancelled All My Children and One Life to Live! Everyone should join in!!

  • Betty - 13 years ago

I watch ABC with Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer. I felt they showed class and calm. They pointed out things and people of interest and never got silly. It was a very class act.
