What ought I to write about next?
The Dragon's Secret, by Augusta Huiell Seaman. I've just finished The Boarded-up House, and it won't take much to get me to read another of her books.
Pollyanna. Someday you will all be subjected to my defense of this book. Is that a day we're looking forward to, or one we'd rather put off?
Trustee from the Toolroom, by Nevil Shute. Strictly speaking, this book (published c. 1960) has no place on this blog. I just love it so much that I want to talk about it all the time.
My top ten under-appreciated children's books, not necessarily out of copyright or even out of print. Bear in mind that I'm using the term 'under-appreciated' pretty loosely.
Something by Mary Jane Holmes, of my choosing, or possibly yours if you have recommendations.
The Boarded-up House kind of made me want to reread Carolyn Wells' Two Little Women and Treasure House. So, that.
Maurice Hewlett's novel about King Richard I, which I'm not terribly enthusiastic about, but which I'm going to have to read sometime.
E.D.E.N. Southworth's The Hidden Hand. I want very much to write about it, and yet I don't know that I'm ready to reread it yet.
Lady Audley's Secret. Ditto.
