One of the big reasons given for Android tablets lagging in sales is lack of tablet-optimized apps, so giving developers Honeycomb (or, slim chance, Ice Cream Sandwich) tablets should be first priority on the giveaway list. Google TV is lagging the worst of any Google platform and with TV distributors boycotting GTV about the only way to make the platform significantly more attractive would be to add a healthy dose of apps. Announcing a new release of GTV software with apps and giving developers GTV products would be very cost-effective. Maybe developers attending GIO will strike it rich twice this year.
