The next coach needs to have the guts to sit Kobie when he's cold. Other players are, K-baby is no better than any of the others. He's still riding his high school days of "Me ball". Through his Laker days there hasn't been a season without him pissing stars off. He chased off Shaq, Payton, Malone, Fox, and Coach Jackson. What a spoiled jerk. Each tim I see he's about to be interviewed, even when he's not the key player of the game, I turn the channel. I'm not one of the Kobie-zombies. Never will be

I think Doc would be a outstanding choice for coach next year.

It is not the right time for B Shaw to be a head coach. He needs to learn more and acquire more knowledge and experience and learn new things from a different veteran coach in order for him to create his own identity in the future. For now I think Rick Adelman is the best option.

Kwame Brown will be the next coach of the Lakers... and you forgot to put Jeff Van Gundy in the list of possibles. He's much more possible than Doc Rivers, Rambis or Krzyzewski who is a living GOD at Duke.

As long mr Shaw do his own coaching and by that I mean his style. Not a phil follow up. I, as a laker fan
for more than 25 years have to say this: Mr Jackson just was a coach of great teams that doesnt need too much of coaching. I will really love to see Jackson coach a struggling team. He would not even make the playoffs. What did he do when Jordan retire? he run away from the bulls and landed with the lakers that have young Kobe and strong & healthy Shaq. Is really easy to fly a kite that is already up in the air. You finished with the lakers exactly in the way that you REALLY ARE! you could not deal with a team with a lot of problems & you could not motivate them, and did not rotate the players the correct way. (as it was proven for 4 games straight).
So the best of luck to Mr Shaw or Mr Scott I know they will be great coaches. And for Mr Jackson I hope you really retire and dont come back for anything not even as an analyst on tv, go enjoy your family or go to a retirement home.
