I think AMC should buy the rights to V and add there touch and bring this show back to life. This show should have never been cancelled. Maybe ABC could have spent some money on advertising Brothers & Sisters. I only found it by "stumbling" on it. But whenever it was on, I was completely entranced. All of the actor were very good at playing their roles. I really enjoyed the show. If I knew when and where it was on, I would have made it a point to have the television on that channel at that time. But, the point is, I didn't even know that it was a show on tv!
Thankfully, the show is on SOAP channel.

I am sooo annoyed with shows being cancelled without a proper season finale!!! It is absolute crap -what is the point in watching these new shows when you are only going to get to episode 10 before it is cancelled or if you are lucky get to watch a full first season!!! My favorite show was V... I grew up in the 80's, I saw the original V miniseries and I actually have a copy of it but it is so disappointing that of the shows cancelled by ABC that the V series was also included. You can see the polls that V and Brothers & Sisters were the only two programs for which many people feel betrayed... It is so unfair to actually begin a series and not be able to finish seeing it. I truly hope ABC reconsiders bringing at least V back or that maybe another television network is considering to bring them. ABC.... return V!!!!

So I went on internet to find out when V was coming back. I can't believe they cancelled it. It seems like whenever there is a good show the network execs cancel it. I am so sick of reality TV. I don't watch all my children but I was disgusted when it was cancelled. Network TV is going in a bad direction. I no longer watch NBC at night either. I just found out that "Brother's & Sisters" has been cancelled. That was the only series show that I looked forward to seeing every week. How could this happen????? I am from a large family myself & I laughed & cried throughout the years with this show. I also have collected the box sets. The cast was really amazing! Maybe CBC will pick it up!? They could cut Desperate House wives for sure & put this in its spot if they need the room or offer it for sure on another night. I know that there are so many people that got me hooked on this show that are not very happy like I am. Is there really an end to the Walkers?

Years ago, you canceled "My So Called Life" with Claire Danes and Jared Leto - I wrote to the station about the cancellation because I felt that there was a lot more to tell about the characters and the show dealt with real life teenage situations. Now I am writing again - the cancellation of "V" and Brothers and Sisters is a huge disappointment. Your reality shows are beginning to be nothing but a bore. Take the Money and Run is a waste of time - as is the Expedition Impossible reality show. Some of the reality shows are fine - but take off Cougar Town, and The Middle and replace it with "V".

I loved watching No Ordinary Family and now it's canceled? And it could have gotten even better and they left you at a cliff-hanger! And I can tell that a lot of you are very upset about the canceling of Brothers and Sisters and V. ABC, can't you tell that you are losing people with all this canceling???
It is tragic that V has been cancelled. I am one of the millions of fans who watched it religiously in Australia. There really needs to be a third season, the second season ended with a huge buildup and unbelievably exciting anticipation for season 3.
The reason V did not get the ratings desired is because Episode 1 was screened, then a very long break until episode 2. There was no momentum, and any interest was lost in the break after the pilot, which started the show off so well.
The show was really starting to hot up (and ratings pick up), the decision to cancel should be reviewed.

can't believe abc cancelled V,the show was really taking off in the second season,should have cancelled something else. just like flashforward which wasn't given a chance .tv is lacking good action/scifi shows and plagued with far too many trashy reality shows.i would really have loved to have seen where V went next as alot of things were turned on their heads in the show with a lot of questions to be answered.I wish ABC would reconcider their decision.

As Pete from Ireland states I also am a sci-fi geek, so don;t know anything about Brother & Sisters but looking at the comments it has caused a real issue with a load of people. "V" I think was excellant a little slow to start with but the seconds series was getting better and better. ABC seams to have a great knack of cancelling series just when they are get good. They did it to Flashforward also if you all remember. No Ordinary Family was OK but again they didn;t give it time it could have got realy good.
OK I do watch Desperate but as Laura states it has been going on too long and should be finished now.

they disappoint me every year by canceling shows I'm attached to. I loved Off the Map,
it was a fresh new idea, and loved the characters. Like most of you have said, I'm quitting ABC.
I see this as a great time to get off the couch and get some exercise or maybe read a book!
I'm really disappointed that Brothers & Sisters was canceled...while I think it may be time for them to end the show in general...I think that it really deserved to have a "final season" to tie up loose ends. This show has devoted fans and was WAY better in recent years than the craziness that has gone down on Desperate Housewives. I really looked forward to Brothers & Sisters and I wish it would have at least gotten the prepared ending it deserved instead of being canceled before anyone was allowed the chance to write a proper series finale...after this many seasons it deserves that...I'm really really disappointed.

If the ABC brass thinks that canceling shows like Brothers & Sisters and replacing it with another mind-freezing reality show will save the network money, think again ABC. Canceling shows like Brothers &Sisters, one of the best written and best acted dramas on TV today, will only accomplish the viewing public to turn OFF their TVs!!! In the long run, loss of viewers and loss of ad revenues will be MORE cost prohibitive to the network than keeping B&S on.

Both my daughters and everyone of my friends watch it too. I guess you now get me for one show a week only - it's Castle and then on to the other networks. How could you cut Brothers and Sisters? It's a great show, with a great cast!!! It's warm, well-written, well-acted and most of all can we watched without flinching by everyone, people of all ages. It's not that reality garbage that seems to be taking over the TV. C'mon ABC, this is a huge mistake. Can't you try it on another nite? I honestly can't say that I will beieve in ABC and their new shows again. There are severl shows on this listy that I do care about and allowed myself to get attached to, against my better judgment given ABC's track record. How manuy season have I grown attached to one of their new shows, watch like the devvoed fan I am, only to tune in one week and find that the "powers that be at ABC have deprived me of yet another love.
I LOVE V and my fiance and I would stop eveything in anticipation of Tuesday nights. I see our opinion doesn't matter! *hangs head in shame* I even watched No Ordinary Family and left my beloved Glee for tv on demand cause I knew No Ordinary family needed the ratings! Wow, harsh day at ABC. They basically slaughtered half their lineup in one fell swoop.. But to be honest, these shows kind of all deserved to be cancelled, and I can't say I'm sad to see any of them go.
I love Julie Benz from 'Dexter' (and 'BTVS'!), so it's too bad her show 'No Ordinary Family' never got off on its feet, but I thought it was a less-than-mediocre concept, which was even more poorly executed, and I couldn't really get into it. Still would like to see her in another show, though.
'V' was a cool concept, plus one of the main characters was from Firefly! (I forget her name, but she's an amazing actress. I love her.) But for some reason I couldn't get myself to feel for the characters, or to even genuinely like the show, so I stopped watching after only one or two episodes.
Brothers & Sisters should have been cancelled years ago, IMO. I never liked it, not even a little bit. Good riddance to that.
The other four were just really bad.. from tacky unfunny comedies to overdone cop/medical dramas.
I think ABC did a good job trimming the some of the weakest performers from their line-up. I only hope they can find some quality shows (NOT REALITY! NO MORE REALITY TV! gah) to fill their places.

I loved Brothers and Sisters! It was the only good show on the weekends. Screw ABC. This is stupid.
I'm so sad that ABC has dropped Brothers and Sisters. Don't get me wrong I like reality TV too. But it always seems I get into a good show, with a warm family and they drop it. How about asking the public what we watch religiously before you decide to drop our favorite shows. Greatly disappointed.
I know that, living in Ireland, my opinion may not count for much, but I am bitterly disappointed with the execs at ABC for cancelling 'V'.
I can't threaten to stop watching ABC because we don't get that channel here, but I really don't understand what is expected from shows in America. OK, they may not get the millions and millions of American viewers that execs are expecting, but the shows are also sold to other networks across the globe and therefore may have millions of viewers worldwide.
There seems to be a lot of lamenting over the demise of "Brothers and Sisters", but I am sci-fi geek and never watched "Brothers and Sisters" but understand how popular it is, even here.

I agree fully with other posters here that there are far too many cookery/reality shows on TV. They are obviously cheap to make and it shows.
Fictional shows require imagination and talent to write, reality TV sucks the life out of entertainment.

The cancelling of Brothers and Sisters leaves me shocked almost speechless. The last thing we need is reality ______.
I still watch 2 abc shows...and when those are done, I'm done. You cant count on anything to be on the air for long....thats why I haven't picked up any new shows off ABC in years. I'm so peeved about brothers and sisters that I'm done here. And the ABC executives who make these decisions are just ridiculous.
If the ABC brass thinks that canceling shows like Brothers & Sisters and replacing it with another mind-freezing reality show will save the network money, think again ABC. Canceling shows like Brothers &Sisters, one of the best written and best acted dramas on TV today, will only accomplish the viewing public to turn OFF their TVs!!! In the long run, loss of viewers and loss of ad revenues will be MORE cost prohibitive to the network than keeping B&S on.
If you were listening ABC you could hear me crying. Brothers and Sisters has consistently been my favorite show since the first season!! I feel like my own family has just disowned me or something. Both my daughters and everyone of my friends watch it too. I guess you now get me for one show a week only - it's Castle and then on to the other networks. Don't know when I'll be back...................
Brothers and Sisters is a great show and a great cast! Why would ABC cancel this show? Why not cancel these reality shows? They are boring, stupid and too much drama! ABC could also cancel some cooking shows! Too many! I will stop watching ABC!
I'm most heartbroken about OLTL and AMC being canceled. When they go off the air, I will stop watching ABC for good. Genre killers! Reality TV makes soaps look like Masterpiece Theater.
I am hugely disappointed about dropping Brothers and Sisters which is truly one of the only shows I look forward to every week. An actual real drama with great acting...and a fan base...what a bunch of idiots at ABC.
How could you cut Brothers and Sisters? It's a great show, with a great cast!!! It's warm, well-written, well-acted and most of all can we watched without flinching by everyone, people of all ages. It's not that reality garbage that seems to be taking over the TV. C'mon ABC, this is a huge mistake. Can't you try it on another nite? It tells a story of everyday people, with everyday problems, and it tells it in such a good, clean but honest way; I don't know why the powers that be at ABC can't see that....take your blinders off and to quote Judge Judy "PUT YOUR LISTENING EARS ON" Please don't cancel this show, please....

Off the Map was a breath of fresh air. Absolutely delightful.
The cancellation of V does not surprise me. It stank from the beginning.
Please...NO MORE STUPID REALITY SHOWS. Those should all be pulled from the air. They are a complete waste of time. As a suggestion....you do have an audience that is over 30. What about a few shows that we can relate to.
I honestly can't say that I will beieve in ABC and their new shows again. There are severl shows on this listy that I do care about and allowed myself to get attached to, against my better judgment given ABC's track record. How manuy season have I grown attached to one of their new shows, watch like the devvoed fan I am, only to tune in one week and find that the "powers that be at ABC have deprived me of yet another love.
I LOVE V and my fiance and I would stop eveything in anticipation of Tuesday nights. I see our opinion doesn't matter! *hangs head in shame* I even watched No Ordinary Family and left my beloved Glee for tv on demand cause I knew No Ordinary family needed the ratings! Come on ABC pull your heads out of your fat A**e* and give US THE FANS what we want and need!
Wow, harsh day at ABC. They basically slaughtered half their lineup in one fell swoop.. But to be honest, these shows kind of all deserved to be cancelled, and I can't say I'm sad to see any of them go.
I love Julie Benz from 'Dexter' (and 'BTVS'!), so it's too bad her show 'No Ordinary Family' never got off on its feet, but I thought it was a less-than-mediocre concept, which was even more poorly executed, and I couldn't really get into it. Still would like to see her in another show, though.
'V' was a cool concept, plus one of the main characters was from Firefly! (I forget her name, but she's an amazing actress. I love her.) But for some reason I couldn't get myself to feel for the characters, or to even genuinely like the show, so I stopped watching after only one or two episodes.
Brothers & Sisters should have been cancelled years ago, IMO. I never liked it, not even a little bit. Good riddance to that.
The other four were just really bad.. from tacky unfunny comedies to overdone cop/medical dramas.
I think ABC did a good job trimming the some of the weakest performers from their line-up. I only hope they can find some quality shows (NOT REALITY! NO MORE REALITY TV! gah) to fill their places.
4 out of 7 of these shows are good shows. No ordinary family was not given a chance to succeed! What will go in their place - more reality junk !?
