Dear Gani, Tum ne meri muh ki baat chheen li hai yaar. I guess we are in the same boat, the only difference being that I'm more of an accidental entrepreneur. I have to thank an old colleague of mine for the seed of the thought which was sown in my mind, which then ultimately grew to be a full fledged thought. Salute you for taking the fight head on. My respect for you has only grown because of this attitude. A small piece of advice, please take this thought out of your head that you are unemployed. Aren't you employed by your own company/ consultancy and full time by your family? Focus on the task at hand and these tough times will pass. I would like to share a story that my mentor shared with me the other day. Hope it works for you as it did for me. I'm sharing the contents of the mail in toto-
"My dear Amrita and Chetan,
I watch in silent exasperation as a number of people I care about live their lives as though they were half dead. They are not really alive.
And then I remembered you two and I was filled with joy because you two have taken the bull by the horn. Your are pushing the boundaries. You have given yourself an opportunity. Congratulations! May you live fully!
I don't know about your progress, but if it is slow (as it normally is with startups) then I would like to share a story my Gurudev told me. Once Swami Vivekanada's disciples came to him and said that they were not making any progress. "Hold on my brave boys hold on!", he said. "You look at the sky at mid night and it's dark; you look at it again at two o' clock and it's still dark. But the NIGHT IS PASSING." And at this point my Gurudev waved his hand in an arc over his head showing the passing of the night.
I retell this story to myself, often. My night is passing."
