I'll be really upset if they make Nellie (Catherine Tate) the manager. It is very likely that I'll stop watching the show, simply because I can't stand her character. I don't mean upset like it will have any real effect on my life, but upset that they'd be ruining what I think is a great show by putting an obnoxious character in a lead role. Michael Scott was obnoxious, but in a loveable way. Nellie is just plain obnoxious.
As another person commented, Catherine Tate is totally overrated. It was already unpleasant to see her guest starring on the show... it would be unpleasant enough to see her get a permanent position as one of the employees... please don't go so far as to give her a major role in one of my favorite shows. One part that I enjoy the most is that the characters all fit really well together, but Catherine Tate would certainly ruin that balance.
I'm not the only one who thinks this; I have three friends sitting next to me who just watched the last episode and agree 100%.

Jim Carey would be perfect. Seeing him walk into the office for the next few years, calling a pointless meeting, making awkward moments with the co workers would really be awesome.

I think James Spader would be absolutely brilliant as the new manager. I would also like to see more of Will Ferrell. I would never watch the show again if Catherine Tate became a regular. She is totally over-rated.

Who says it has to be someone from the last episode? Maybe they decide that none of the interviewees were the right fit. I think John C. Reilly would be hilarious and bring something new to the show.

I think Catherine Tate is a better and proper candidate(like people are calling it for the show) And she will definitely get more viewers ever since Doctor Who Came out and she appeared in it with David Tennant who i think would also be absolutely amazing for The Office Corporation(channel tv show (tbs) whatever ) Americans Love them and yes we (i) Adore Malone Carrey And the others but i think we will eventually see them in other Projects obviously so yeaup that is my point why not just put her in for now and if it doesn't work well there we go we can choose again? right? just like with Will Ferrel and also back to Catherine Tate i love her because she has her own show and i never get tired of watching her in the old seasons of Doctor who she has that edgy daring and sweet feeling in her personality Absolutely BOSS Material Id Choose and would vote for her anyday. And i would recommend the office more just like i did with doctor who and Torch wood and other British shows and My Friends LOVE them So basically we need a taste of Delicious Britain in the US, David Tennant or Catherine would work JUST Fine and Amazing♥!, They are Loved And Really Important in The Uk and they have been in many projects together they are inseparable♥ same personality soo Just like the British love them so would we.
