who is Kelly Clarkson? never heared of him!
Kelly has a pretty voice but lacks the charisma and personality Adam has. Adam is the best contestant to come out of Idol. No one can outdo Adam. His singing is superb and he is a perfectionist in that he prepares everything for the performance.
Kelly Clarkson for sure. This was the performance that defines "Idol Moment."
Adam Lambert was good, but I still don't get why everyone thinks it was so transcendent. He basically sang it the same way that Gary Jules did. Actually, Gary Jules version is better. More haunting, more painful. Kelly had no model for what to do, Adam did.
I love them and whichever artist wins is okay. I have the CD's of both Kelly and Adam....
However, that said, I have to cast my vote for Adam as I have listened to Mad World more times than I can count ! It was a definate "moment" for me and paved the way to all of his incredible music.
These two are absolutely fantastic performers !!!

Kelly Clarkson for sure. She slayed that song! I remember standing up in my living room and giving her a standing ovation. Nobody on Idol has ever made me feel that way except Kelly Clarkson!!!

Both excellent performers and performances, but the turning point for me is that Kelly didn't really hit that last high note right on, where as Adam hit his last note pitch perfect! Based on that alone, I'd have to vote for Adam!
