Do you use the flat sheet in a set of sheets?

l do use them but my daughter has given up on hers so I just wash her duvet cover more often. It's a simple cotton cover so no issues. Mine is embroidered therefore I use a flat sheet to protect it.

If you are cleaning out your linen closets, may want to consider your local Humane Society. They may have a worthy use for those old sheets, blankets and towels taking up room in your linen closet.

    Yuppers!!!

Not only do I definitely use the top sheet in every set that I get, but I also have a thick flannel sheet that goes on top of my flat sheet, and then a regular blanket with the soft satin'y like trim, then finally my extra big and fluffy duvet. I wouldn't even imagine going without my flat sheet, because it along with the fitted, provide the soft cool feel of comfort against my skin, especially with microfibre or 400+ threadcount, cotton sheets.

So yeah, I too most certainly use my flat sheet and believe that it is CRUCIAL to any and every sheet set along with pillow cases and that those whom do not use it are actually the ones a part of the minority. I just hope this post isn't in the attempt to get people use to the idea of not having the flat sheet be included in sets, in the ever increasing attempts of Corporations to be more green: more green/money in their pocket and less in ours -or- less product for more $.

Well I should hope so!!! Whatever was Style at Home thinking? Yes we use flat sheets, they protect duvets from our sweat and sluffed off skin cells...I shudder to think that some people might actually say that they don't. I take it that they are the same individuals that admit to changing the sheets only once a month!
