If there is to be a "New" bomber, let them bid on it and let the BEST not the Cheepest win but the R&D needs to be done before it goes into use

Uhh, sure. Manned aircraft are on the verge of being replaced by nonexistant autonomous superdrones which are so commonplace....fantastic idea.

i thought we were nearing the end of "manned" flight for combat aircraft.
what will this plane be able to do in 10 years that a brilliant autonomous/remote drone or cruise missile cant...? whats that you say... "network failure, hacking or jamming"...? what did we buy all those b-2's for...? and if they're to expensive to lose... why did we build them?
