Because it's a pediatric unit and the kids would be escorted in an emergency, I trust the trained staff to find the exits.

The exits are obvious to me even though the doors are painted, and they have exit signs so I would leave them as-is.

I would tell the hospital that they have to paint the doors a neutral color, and hope that they comply.

After telling the hospital to repaint the doors, I would notify the fire marshal and ask him to follow up.
