I will never forget reading in the Miami Herald many, many years ago about men arrested for accosting "prostitutes". It was awful reading elderly men's addresses, marital status, age, and I don't know what else. All I could think of was the wreck that had now been made of their lives and their families lives. I cannot imagine why men go to prostitutes, but I do know that many do, and many wives do not know or do not object for whatever reason. But how could you endure the snickers, etc., after all the publicity?

Publishing johns' names: What a horrifying and appalling idea! What ever happened to respect for an individual's privacy and observing their boundaries? I don't need to know if Joe Six-Pack was out looking for some "strange", nor do I want to know. TMI.
Prostitution should not be a crime; neither should it be regulated: it is victimless, and simply nobody else's business. Danger of violence? Not if it's legal. Worried about STDs? "No glove, no love!"... or just abstain.
