Turbocharged engines can make a lovely noise. Just listen to the new AMR-One 2.0 liter straight 6 engine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ok9s8aEyv3w

I suggest, that NOTHING IN SPORT, sends a thrill down your spine, like the the 18,000-rev-scream of an F1 engine! The grunt of the 1500 turbo engines didn't thrill, and after the expenditure developing the new 1600 engines, there will be no way back! Develop energy saving technologies in what we have!

F1 is about being progressive and innovative, only the 'here today, gone tomorrow' fan boys are against change.

F1 as always been about change, it started with 1.5 litre engines, there was even the option for 750 cc engines. Some people should remove their blinkers, or stick to snooker if F1 is a little too dynamic for them.

Lets face it,the show has degraded annually since circa 2000,the same time the FIA felt they needed to fiddle the 40 odd year tried & proven concepts for what,to nullify an advantage that Ferrari had, which was purely a cyclical thing,McLaren held the upper hand before that for 2 yrs followed by Williams, which had such an advantage a monkey could have won in their car.
Play around with the lesser formula's,but for fudge sake, leave F1 alone, the rules of golf,& cricket etc stay stone based for good reason, its called continuity,& IMO sanity.
    "Bring back the 3.0l V10,asap"!
"4 cyl,you gotta be kidding Mr Todt".......

We should give them a size limit of about six litre but allow different engine configurations. Bring on 1500 bhp monster 250mph
