If you were Jenson Button and you had the choice, which team you go for?

I dont see Button or any top-level driver taking the second seat. Massa's injury aside, the team have done a great job of breaking his spirit and I don't think the other drivers in the paddock are going to be looking upon that with any envy. I see them taking a younger driver who can stomach being Alonso's number two and as such I wouldn't be suprised to see a Hulkenberg or a DiResta there. Pure conjecture though.

Ferrari may believe that having a number one driver is the best way to win championships, but they've all but screwed their chances of having a seasoned campaigner in the second seat. Jarno Trulli anyone?

Although I would love to see my two favorite drivers in my favorite team, Ferrari, I think Button would be better off staying at Mclaren. The team culture seemed to suit him better, and Mclaren seem to be better able to cope with 2 competitive drivers and off them equality within the team. This is something that Ferrari cannot provide and have shown in the past that they tend to favor 1 driver over the other.

My own personal opinions below, pls share with me your thoughts on this...

I don't know if it's true but somehow I think Massa is able to stay in Ferrari for so long due to his connections - his manager has some association with Ferrari management?

Schumi left to make way for Massa. Massa was chosen over Kimi. The team started developing the car for Massa in 08 and Schumi was there to provide mentoring to Massa. See how Massa's performance deteriorated after schumi left Ferrari for Mercedes?

While Alonso (and Banco Santander) are in Ferrari, any other driver will be driver number 2. Despite already he is second driver in MacLaren, he can beat Hamilton, he will.

What's the point of changing teams? He feels great at McLaren, has a faster car than the Ferrari and he'll earn more money with a new contract.

I'd say he should move to whichever offers the best package - equal status and and a winning car first, and then let money decide if all else is equal. He's a clever boy to spread the feeling that he'd say yes to Ferrari just as he hits the spot with race pace. I don't think there'd be a problem with Alonso. Alonso is only difficult for people with pressable buttons, and Button doesn't have any (despite his name). I can't think of a driver who's got to him - quite the converse, he has unnerved several team-mates including Villeneuve and Barrichello. It's noticeable that Alonso didn't complain about Button knocking him off at Montreal. I think he respected the move and felt he would have done exactly the same.

I agree with Paul, Hamilton has nver been in a struggling team. I think he needs to move to a new team.
In my opinion a move to Mercedes would be a ideal scenerio, and similar to when Schumacher joined Ferrari and built a winning team up around him.

I would love to see Jenson carry on at Mclaren. but as the number one driver. I think he is a much better fit for that team than any other driver we have seen for a long time (and that includes Hamilton). I think if any of the current drivers should move on, it should be Lewis - I really think his racing career would actually benefit from being in a midfield car for a little stint. All the other top drivers have had to fight in uncompetitive cars at some point in their career (Alonso, Vettel, Rosberg, Schumacher, Webber) and it's given them great experience. I think Lewis is driving the way he is at the moment because he genuinely thinks he is more important than everyone else on the field - he has only ever driven for a top team.

Going to Ferrari would be a big mistake. He could only ever be a number two driver there as Alonso has already shown that he doesn't have the temperament to deal with someone who could be as fast as him.

He should go to Ferrari especially as you say he's closer to the end of his F1 career than the start. He's won a title, he's won races, he's made more $ than he can spend. It would be a great way to end his career especially when he sends Alonso into a tailspin by beating him. Don't forget that most figured that Hamilton would leave him in the dust. Didn't happen. Button is messing with Lewis' head and despite them appearing the best of friends I'm sure Button in his private moments smiles about his success against Lewis the racer.
