I agree with everyone.. EXCEPT DEBI! Nice to know members of the military feel the same way as everyone else.! It's kinda common sense. Must be where the 93% percent came from..! Figures one of the 2% would have something stupid to say!!

If Obama would stay off the golf course and visiting foreign countries that don't care one bit about the USA or our Troops. I don't think he knows how to make decisions on foreign affairs or any affairs of any kind except the affairs his congressman and senators have. All have not got caught yet. Time to clean house starting at the top on down!!!

Jane Murray asks how old Debi is. Communism can be embraced at almost any age.

I wonder how old Debi is to make a comment like that!

As a retired Navy Chief, I think the government needs to quit trying to babysit the world and take care of our own first. They're cutting military benefits, raising the cost of health care and generally crapping all over our military, but expect them to get involved in all of the political games worldwide. When have any of these countries we are trying to help done anything for us? Never.

How does it go to show how ignorant they are? I have been in the military for 6 years. I have deployed twice and spent a year in Korea. I see what we are using our time and money on and frankly, I do think the US wastes a lot of time and money on other countries rather than concentrating on our own problems. As many government problems as we have with jobs, money, etc. Do you have any idea how much money this country spends to rebuild other countries or to feed them, cloth them or even supply health care to them? Here the US is fighting over healthcare. We have people dying everyday because they cant afford healthcare but yet we are giving it FREE to other countries. How does any of that make sense to you? I have been there, it makes me feel great to help them but at the same time I come home and see the US has millions of homeless, jobless people what do we do to help them? Not near as much as we do to help other countries. Also for example, look at how much the us does for other countries that get hit by hurricanes and other weather related catastrophes. Where are they when our country needs help? We, the us military are sent to help do clean up, rescue, supply food, shelter, medical assistance and the US pays for it all. Look at how much money people from the US donate and how much the red cross does, where is their military to supply us with assistance when we need it? Where are their donations and volunteers? I do believe what we do is needed but, I also believe we need to concentrate on fixing the issues in our own country before we use so much effort to help them.

We are not ignorant. We should not be 'dipping' into so many conflicts with other countries when we can't even manage our own properly. We are not everyones mommy and daddy and selfish as it may sound to you, we need to take care of ourselves first so we are in a better position to help other countries. We try to please everyone, but it spreads so thin that to outside eyes it looks like a half-assed job.

The sad reality is that the military attempts to meet mission parameters, set forth by civilian leadership and then is blamed when the policy cannot be executed in a manner supported by citizens (who actually care) in this country. This has happened time and time again.

Of course, it does not help when you have the extreme right (who are actually isolationists and want to slash the military to nothing as to prevent us from being involved in any cause off of the shores of the United States; they use the budget and debt as the excuse) and the extreme left (who are looking to slash the military and shift the resources to social causes; they too use the budget and debt as the excuse - strange bedfellows) gnawing away at the middle on this. The rest of the population does not care or is so disenchanted with the lack of "black and white" immediate fixes, that it is easier to throw in the towel than anything else. Welcome to America if the 21st Century. Oh by the way, I am retired military and a registered Democrat. That out to confuse some of the naysayers out there.

It goes to show how ignorant the US people who were polled are.
