As a musician, how has performance anxiety affected YOU?

It's never been much of a problem. I always love taking the stage.

Some performances are worse than others. It can be a nuisance.

It's a problem. It has taken away from my enjoyment of performance.

It's a major issue. I avoid performing publicly whenever possible.

It was debilitating. I have stopped performing in public altogether.

I would add to your poll that although the performance anxiety can feel debilitating in the moment of performance, I treat it as a challenge to perform more joyfully and with more freedom with each new opportunity to take the stage.

I perform with gratitude, even when my anxiety gets in the way.
