Which of the following strategies seems like the most intelligent way to rehabilitate neonatal training?

increase the length of our neonatal fellowships

create 4 year neonatal residencies (to start after a pediatric intership year) instead of fellowships

begin to accept family practice residents into our fellowships, because in some programs they are doing more infant resuscitations than pediatric residents are

Give up and start training more NNPs

I don't think any of these answers are reasonable (but I think the question is and we need to figure out the answers)

Other consideration:
Longer residency programs to provide procedural skills and knowledge base across all areas
More clinically concentrated fellowships with waiver of research requirements
