Have William and Kate changed your view of the monarchy?

My vote was that, my view of, the Monarchy has not changed. I value the monarchy for it's historic and traditional value only. I feel that William and Katherine are favorable ambassadors of this tradition (so far). I believe that their job is to become better and better at representing the Commonwealth countries, non-politically, to the rest of the world. They should work to become more and more representatives for peace and goodwill in the world and a unifying force in the Commonwealth. I would hope that they would play down their "rock star" status and elevate their role as goodwill ambassadors working for peace.

A monarchy is a monarchy, is a monarchy, is a monarchy! The royal couple has not changed my mind about the monarchy at all. The institution is becoming less and less appealing to younger generations of Canadians. It does not represent Canada's interests abroad or at home.

I do not care whether whether Canada keeps the Monarchy or not
It is noticeable that the standards of Prince William do not bear the Union Jack, while the flags of the Province of Ontario and two other provinces have a Union Jack, the flag of another cuntry. This Archaic tradition should be set aside. If Ontario had a flag that represents the First Nations and the two founding nations French Canada and English Canada, our flag wavers would be proud to use it as it is done in the Province of Québec with the Fleur de Lys. Let's get rid of the Union Jack that contains so many other symbols.
