just sign the dam bill and lets get ill. rolling!!!! if you don't like horse racing maybe you should get to a track and check it out. owners, trainers, and a lot of hard workers need this bill passed . it's a way of living for some people. show your support for ill. horse racing. joey the horse

I'm all for it, if it means I don't have to pay for admission and a program to the track. They keep raising the prices to go to the race track pretty soon people will find other ways to spend their cash.

first of all CHICAGO is not a state. Illinois is the state. Don't care if chicago benefits, the state needs to benefit.

Illinois is in rough shape. I agree with paulsmith on the other comment list - why not keep Illinois dollars IN illinois, and even bring more in from other states and other visitors? Take St. louis as an example - do any of those casinos have crime ridden areas around them? It's all a matter of how much the state encourages the business, and how local businesspeople deal with it.

There should be limitations - I don't know that you need EVERY person that could ever benefit from the casino - you'd have to start with EVERY person living in Illinois. However, you could have restrictions including hiring only Illinois contractors and employees.

    Just my 2 cents

The only people that will benefit from expanded gambling in Illinois/Chicago are the few chosen one's directly involved in all the backroom deals and "horse trading" as I once heard a former politician say. How about they publicly post every name directly involved in any gambling project, investors, contractors, POLITICIANS, private citizens, anyone who would stand to benifit in any manner should be listed and publicly posted. Then we can also learn who gets one of the few jobs generated by all this activity, and their connection to any of the "CHOSEN ONE'S" and how they got their jobs. Bottom line, Taxpayers of Illinois/Chicago will not benefit from any expanded gambling project.
