I may try to watch OLTL and to see the cliff hanger on AMC. I would prefer them on cable for my dvr. I am going to boycott all ABC daytime shows now, I didn't watch them much anyway only the soaps. I like Ellen (won't boycott her) don't like the View and I thought ABC could have done more farewells that just 1 hour on the View, which really wasn't much if you ask me. What really bothers me is no info on when and where to watch them? I may have moved on before they are back. The shows would be better for me if they weren't 5 days a week. Then I wouldn't feel guility watching too much TV and I wouldn't have to fast forward through the commercials or frivolous stuff they do to kill time to keep up 5 days worth of programming. I have watched GH for 50 years off and on depending on my work schedule and the others the same and I will miss them like part of my family is gone.

Agree with all of the above. It will be a matter of time before the loser shows........ that ABC has chosen........... to replace what the viewers want will be CANCELED!! How ignorant are they? There is a FOOD NETWORK. If viewers want to watch cooking shows they will tune in there...not to "THE CHEW"...even the name is repulsive. Chew on this ABC..........you are a loser network and all of us who have supported you throughout the years hope to watch your demise as a result of such a poor decision.

I agree with all the above! I love my ABC soaps and would come home from school and watch GH with my mom every day. I couldn't wait until summer when I could watch all three with her! Through school I followed them and during college I video taped all three and would stay up late to stay caught up. Now I'm a mom of 3 busy kids so I have to record them on my DVR and watch when I can and love when I can do a mini marathon. My oldest and I don't have too much in common, but she has started watching GH with me and just started OLTL also. It's given us something to bond over as well as opened up windows of communication regarding different subject matters. It was a sad day when ABC announced cancellation. I'm thankful Prospect Park has picked them up (hope GH, to0, if in fact it too is cancelled), but hope they take their fan base in consideration with how they'll produce it and make it available to us.

Huge mistake to cancel these shows. No one is more loyal than soap fans. Watching online is certainly not ideal. For me it's going to depend on the costs to me and wether or not the cast and crew stay entact. I'm hoping prospect park realizes that the ad space for millions of loyal veiwers will out weigh subscription costs.

Not happy with the options that viewers are left with I'm really wondering just how much a fan would have to pay to watch . Also we all know watching online comes skipping stalling and can be such a pain so i still say us fans are not getting truly what we deserve all i want is to continue to watch my fav soaps clear with subtitles as i have a hearing disability with no skipping and just enjoy watching my fav actors." what im really wondering is will i get this all online ???????????

  • a blake - 13 years ago

I would gladly pay to watch it on line. If I have to be a subscriber nooo problem. However, I am afraid that it won't be offered in Canada... like many American shows.

  • Cass - 13 years ago

I will watch AMC and OLTL online gladly!!! I have caught up on missed episodes by watching the show online in the past anyway. I too will continue to boycott ABC after these shows go dark the only show I will watch in General hospital until they go dark as well, which is sad because I did like cougartown... but I have already stopped watching all ABC except for the 3 hours of soap programming each day. They made a real mistake by canceling these shows. The chew and the revolution are destined to be failures. I can't wait to hear that they have been canceled!!!!!!

  • Valerie - 13 years ago

I will watch AMC online or anywhere it ends up. I do like it on tv, able to dvr it. I have been watching it from the start 1/5/1970. I can't imagine it not on, how can it end? I will not watch abc daytime after AMC/OLTL go off and I hope no one else will either. Who cares about cooking shows?-Today in this fast paced world,,,,people to busy,,,,,take out is easier!

  • AL - 13 years ago

I will definitely be watching OLTL online, I just hope that the production values, cast (such as Kassie DePavia, Erika Slezak, Robin Strasser), crew and writers, will remain intact (or at least as very close).
Despite this news, I will still be boycotting ABC and it's daytime sponsors.

  • Phyllis Whitlock - 13 years ago

it is a darn shame that the abc network is disregarding all of the faithful viewers of these two soaps. OLTL is one of my favorites. have watched it since the beginning. they say they want a younger audience. well let me tell you, those of us who are older have money to spend on things that the sponsors tell us about, and the new show, Chew, is just another cooking show. it will not be watched.
