Ok so we do all agree that batman one on one will destroy us all with that being said DC needs to step their live action movies up and if they included animated DC would have had a better chance plus no to many people are into other dc villains so DC live actions movies look more bland.

marvel has the best movies... sure they have a few flops (the 1st hulk, spiderman 3, x-men 3, etc) i personally liked the punisher movies except the dolph lundren one. i liked the tom jane one because it had a little more story to it whereas war zone had over the top action (like punisher punching a hole in a guys face lol i still love that part) but i also liked ghost rider even though i feel it shoulda been darker along the lines of blade. guillermo del toro should do a ghost rider film. he'd be perfect for it. the FF films were decent imo. spiderman 3 and x-men 3 i can watch and enjoy em not as much as their predecessors but i rather watch that then the 1st hulk movie. as far as dc goes. i love the animated movies (cant wait for batman year one) but as previous commenters said dc does rely too much on batman and superman. green lantern was a cool movie i enjoyed it but it could have been better. i cant wait for the dark knight rises and avengers. this summer plus next years and 2013 are gonna be awesome with all the new sequels and franchises comming.

The first Batman movie, Batman Begins and the Dark Knight were great and the Superman movies were okay however all of the other DC movies are either mediocre (like Green Lantern) or sucks (Catwoman, Batman & Robin). Marvel has several great movies like Iron Man 1 & 2, X-Men 1 & 2, Spider-man 1 & 2, The Incredible Hulk and Thor.

Batman is the only thing movie wise DC has ever done right in my eyes (though the Green Lantern wasn't bad)....But Yea! Marvel.....Not even gunna go into it! They Dominate Superhero movies, Yea Batmans a beast in the box office and all and AMAZING....but Spiderman (Minus the 3rd)
    Xmen (Minus the 3rd)
    IronMan
    Hulk
    Blade
    Thor
with Capt. and the Avengers on the Horizon.......Yea Marvel Wins.....Sorry Bats

Lets not forget the animated Movies, which Marvel has been ROYALLY SUCKING AT!

Theater Movies it is a bit of a toss up. I loved Spiderman 1,2. Though as a kid I loved Batman Forever too and I have a new love affair with BB and DK.
Ultimately because of failures like Ghost Rider, and Dare Devil and also in my mind Last Stand and Origins NEVER HAPPENED!!! I can not forgive for these and Point DC

There are a ton of really good animated movies from DC that no one outside of hardcore fans really know about. The animated movies blow away the live-action (save Dark Knight) movies on both lists. Marvel has a few good animated movies, but DC are all epic and stay true to the characters. I think the animated movies should count heavily on this list since all movies, games, tv shows, etc are derived from animated comics.

List of the most solid DC animated movies: Superman/Batman Apocalypse, Superman/Batman Public Enemies, Green Lantern First Flight, Justice League Crisis on 2 Earths, Wonder Woman, All-Star Superman, Superman/Shazam - The Return of Black Adam, Superman Doomsday. All of these DC animated movies are amazing.

Marvel's animated movie, Planet Hulk, is also an awesome animated installment. But it stands alone on the list of solid animated movies.

My point is, include the animated movies on this list and DC dominates. Nuff said.

batman begins wasn't great but good, the dark night though was AMAZING but once again DC counts on Batman to do the job.. i have to go with Marvel, X3=massive fail but First Class was great plus it didn't center around wolverine got to cheer for that, although it wasn't the original first class still was great(the acting, story and such)

the DVD directors cut of Punisher was rated R because it had more violence (and suicide) in it. The theater wide release was PG13

Pretty sure Batman once again holds up the DC universe. The first two Batman movies Burton, the Mask of the Phantasm, and Begins and Dark Knight are all amazing films. I've never really had any interest in the Superman movies, and zero interest in anything else that wasn't animated. I saw the new Green Lantern movie, and while not being too bad, it also wasn't great either. The Punisher (2004 I think?) is one of my favorite movies, I personally enjoyed Dare Devil, and all the Spiderman and Ironman movies are great. I personally liked Thor, Ghost Rider, and the second Hulk movie as well...and I personally liked the Fantastic 4 movies...so I'd have to say Marvel blows DC out of the water...but Batman blows every individual character out of the water..once again lol.

The Dark Knight and the first two Superman movies fend off against Iron Man, the first two Spider-Man movies, X-Men, X2, and First Class. DC packs enough of a punch to make it an impasse.

    Catwoman was worse than Daredevil.
    Point goes to Marvel.

Thomas Jane's Punisher was not rated PG-13. It was rated R. Not sure where that description came from.
