i voted for marvel in this category only cause u guys added superman 64 to the list. Thats the worst game ever made in all of everdom.

I know you can't base it on one game but for some reason batman is batman and he is the only reason dc gets my vote on games when one game can determine the standard for other super hero games you got to admit that is badddddddassssss

I hate to break it to you D.C fans, but you can not base your vote off of a single game(Arkham Asylum). Except the fact that Batman is the only thing D.C has going in this vote

Superman 64 + Aquaman vs. Ultimate Spiderman + all of the Marvel 4p brawlers + MVC series + Hulk: Ultimate Destruction = a vote for marvel. I am aware of the existence of Batman: Arkham Aslyum, but there are too many DC downers.

Yea had to go with marvel on this 1. Batman AA is probably the best superhero game out (untill its sequal) but you cant base this vote on 1 game. its preety much batman vs marvel

  • Jason - 13 years ago

Too many kids voting for Marvel. DCU and Batman AA own any Marvel game by far, same with the movies via Batman Begins and the Dark Knight owning all marvel films

The only worthwhile Marvel games to me were the newer Spiderman games. I loved them because they felt good playing as Spidey, even though the structure was stupid (mission wise and how repetative it was) but Arkam Asylam was so good it tipped the scale with one game.

DANG!!!!!!! THIS SUX!!!! It hurts soooo much! I absolutely LOVE Arkham Asylum! Like one of my all time favorite games...But that and Mortal Kombat vs DC are its only good games....(DC Universe Online..........meh) But Marvel has far more great games MvC,2 and 3 the Arcade games, Wolverine origins (the BEST movie/game ever....and the only good one). And Spiderman 2........yea I Love you Arkham but Marvel is far more consistant.... :/

looks like its Batman vs Marvel again. I loved Batman:AA but come on you cant just vote DC just 'coz of one game or two when Batman:AC comes out.. so excited for that but Marvel all the way

Really wanted to vote for Marvel here because of Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man 2, and X-Men Legends were the best games I ever played when I had a Gamecube. However, if the question is "which company has better video games", the answer is definitely neither. I chose instead to think of it as "which company has had the best video game" and that's definitely DC with Arkham Asylum.

    Co'm
The first 2/3 of this poll were kind of interesting, till you reach the final part and it's more than clear that this is an obvious marketing manipulation.
It's not a coincidence that they put on the sight games that they want us to have in mind next time that we go to GameStop.
    Very clever IGN guys ...
    ... shame on you!

Once again I have to agree with Xavier. I never played it all the way through, but Arkham Asylum was probably one of the best comic games of all time. But when going up against the Marvel fighters, the Ultimate Alliance/X-men Legends series, Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Spiderman 2...yeah Marvel has way more weight.

  • Xavier - 13 years ago

Sigh...once again its Batman dragging the team along. Arkham is better than any game on the list, but going up against the Spider-Man games, not to mention the fact that no other DC game on that list contributes, the point is to marvel by a hair.

  • Mac - 13 years ago

I was about to vote DC considering they had Arkham. But once I was reminded of Superman 64, they lost so many points that I voted for Marvel

  • Owenlars2 - 13 years ago

i'm surprised you didn't mention spider-man shattered dimensions or one of the x-men legacy games.
