We all choose our poison. There wouldn't be diabetics if it were not for sugar. There wouldn't be alcoholics if it were not for whiskey. There wouldn't be fat people if it were not for food. Yes, we all take a chance on dying from eating, drinking, smoking, driving too fast, crossing a street and taking a bath in 6-inches of water. Smoking outside should be allowed--that is why it is called the great outdoors.

I'm a former smoker. The only reason I am a former smoker is I now have a Laryengectomy. Why? Because I had cancer of the larynx. I loved smoking, but my larynx was removed and now I walk around with a hole in my throat. I breathe thru this hole. I had smoked 3 pks a day. Loved Marlboro to no end. Smoked my last cigaerette at the hospital door. Today, I can not stand the smell of the odor of cigerette smoke. It makes me sick....literally. Others are like me. People do have the right to breathe clean air. I felt the same way as smokers do years ago. No one's gonna tell me I can not smoke and where. If a resaturant isn't gonna let me smoke, then I am not going. I have stormed out of many of them because of it. Now, look at me today. I walk around with a hole in my throat. And I will for the rest of my life. And dear smoker, just as you, I said it too, it won't happen to me. Yes, I miss smoking. I even dream of it, but, look at me today. Enjoy your cigerette while you can....it may be your last. One more thing.....people do have the right to smell clean air.....I do believe that now. Now, I storm out of a place that allows smoking. Wierd, ain't it?
